Married, divorced, never married - doesn't matter.
I'll need a minute to think of this, because I can only think of one represented, and not the other in the movies I think of. Edited by MortSahlFan - August 12 2023 at 15:02 |

Well, one was sitting in a chair covered in cats with a dog at her side and the other was aiming his butt at whoever was in the living room, letting out a loud fart, and then running up the stairs laughing. Is there an on-screen couple that did this?

This does explain some things. We are shaped by our environments, there is nature and nurture. I have wondered about your fixations on certain bodily functions and sense of humour. I had a dad who made lots of puns and I followed suit -- difference is that his were clever. My dad sounded very much like Roger Moore and looked similar (and James Bond made bad puns too) and he also was a British officer and military intelligence and counter-intelligence (mostly MI6). My mother was an actress early on, more stage actress, she only had extra or minor roles in films (mostly ones made in Italy like Spartcus, and La Dolce Vita because she happened to meet Fellini in a coffee shop and then was cut from the movie), and I can't think of a couple that would work. Agreed, we do seem to be shaped by our environments. Although I seem to freely pull things out of the bathroom humor regions of my brain and post them from time to time, in person while in public settings I'm not going around and farting on people in stores. I do have some boundaries. But a lot of my musical interests came from my Dad (like prog rock) too, so there are some positive attributes we pick up from time to time from our parents. I do have an uncle that seems good at puns, but for some reason I never picked up that trait.

Not quite. They never talked down to each other or take humorous jabs at each other like those two did. If there ever was an on-screen match, the odds are it would be from a sitcom or something similar.
