Thanks for the thread - I've got some catching up to do  ;)
I've run across some of the "Tangerine Tree" recordings on YouTube.

I've seen them twice.  Mid 80's and late 90's (early 00's ?)

Logos is by far my favorite.
No Civilization here. Tried it on but it would not fit.
Seems only a thin veneer. A little rubbing and it comes off quick.

Thanks! Logos is one of my favourites too. To save you scrolling through 20 pages of posts, all of Tangerine Dream's albums featured here so far are listed at the top of page one. Smile

If you're interested, I gathered the available Tangerine Tree volumes in a playlist:

Thanks. Surprisingly, that's the first time I've heard of the Tangerine Tree, and I've somehow missed 92 volumes (or branches) of it. Smile

I also made a playlist for the Bootmoon series:

I read some of the wiki on it.  They pretty much picked the best of each tour, since each show of the tour was similar.
"Tangerine Leaves" is the stuff left on the cutting room floor, so to speak.
So Beware! if you run across those  LOL

Thanks for the warning. If I come across Tangerine Leaves, I'll sweep them under the carpet. Tongue

4 stars 1999: Mars Polaris - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqf2srRfppHCpLknhy97Y3nJoIv90ndv4

Mars Polaris is Tangerine Dream's 25th studio album and their 68th album overall. This is the first TD studio album since Goblins' Club (14 albums earlier) in 1996. There may not be Life on Mars, but there's plenty of life left in Tangerine Dream as this superb album clearly shows. In Martian terms, Mars Polaris is the towering Olympus Mons of 1990's Tangerine Dream albums.

Thanks to Modrigue for the Mars Polaris YouTube playlist.  Thumbs Up

4 stars 1999: Great Wall of China (soundtrack) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgxtNh3gB54

We're Beijing-bound now for "The Middle Kingdom" and the Great Wall of China. This is Tangerine Dream's 25th soundtrack and their 69th album overall, released in December 1999, making it the last TD album of the 20th century.
Despite rumours to the contrary, the chances of seeing the Great Wall of China from space are about as likely as finding this rare soundtrack album in your local record store. Confused

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I also recommend Dream Mixes III, which is my favorite of the DM series.

3 stars 2000: Soundmill Navigator (Live: recorded in 1976) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zirvPTpQ2g

Soundmill Navigator is Tangerine Dream's 11th Live album and their 70th album overall. This is the second of three albums in the Classic Editions series, recorded Live at the Berliner Philharmonie way back in 1976 and features the classic trio of Edgar Froese, Chris Franke & Peter Baumann. Soundmill Navigator is one long continuous suite of ambient and sequencer-driven music which is all original material that you won't hear anywhere else. The relatively poor sound quality of this Live recording is the only reason I gave the album three stars instead of four. Confused

5 stars 2000: Antique Dreams - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqf2srRfppHDhOPChIv8PuehZYc89MMKF

Antique Dreams is Tangerine Dream's 71st album and their third and final album in the Classic Editions series (following on from Sohoman (1999) & Soundmill Navigator (2000)). This is essentially a compilation of some of the very best Live, studio and remixed recordings from the years 1971 thru' to 1988, none of which are available on any other album, making it an absolutely essential album of precious Antiques for Tangerine Dream fans.  Star Star Star Star Star

4 stars 2000: The Seven Letters from Tibet - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOuDRmqAqBI

An album for New Age travellers.... We're journeying to the Roof of the World now for Tangerine Dream's 26th studio album and their 72nd album overall. After the pulsating rhythms of the previous album, Antique Dreams, The Seven Letters from Tibet is a complete contrast, representing an exotic and gently laid-back ambient side of Tangerine Dream, so just lie back and think of Germany. Smile

"Sohoman has been reworked in the studio. 'Ayers Majestic' and 'Bondi Parade' were previously unreleased. Sohoman features only the first set of the concert. The complete, untouched concert has been fan-released as Tangerine Tree Volume 37: Sydney 1982 in 2003."

The complete Regent Theatre concert was remastered and released (without Edgar's studio doctoring) as CD3+4 of The Official Bootleg Series Volume Three. (When Sohoman was released, everyone knew something was amiss.)

I'm afraid Antique Dreams is another iffy release. A tracklist scan reveals nuggets that induce mouthwatering straight away! But most of the material has been remixed (additional sounds added) and in at least one instance ("Calymba Caly"), savagely edited to overlap with another well-known piece. Oedipus Tyrannus is incomplete (it now appears, intact, and remastered, in the recent box set In Search of Hades).

For me, the real draw was "Southend Mall," classified as a piece intended for Le Parc. But it just doesn't sound like anything else on that album and is obviously a solo track by Edgar recorded much later.

Overall, Antique Dreams is a nice curio because of the inherent studio manipulations, and it is indeed a rarity now, having never been repressed (the 2007 digital-only reissue replaced two tracks).

It's a compilation of tangentized rarities. Overall, it's still a nice CD to have and a rarity now. Wink

4 stars 2001: DM3 - Dream Mixes III: The Past Hundred Moons - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLqf2srRfppHAiBOAUuJnmY3JfaxekEVPJ

Following on from The Dream Mixes (1995) and TimesSquare (1997), The Past Hundred Moons is the third in the series of Dream Mixes albums for a new generation of fans. DM3 is Tangerine Dream's 73rd album overall, featuring more pulsating and hypnotic rhythms from remix master Jerome Froese. Smile

Thanks again to Modrigue for the YT album playlist. Thumbs Up
