I've pointed this out on occasion. The forum software hasn't been updated since 2014. Look at the copyright date range at the bottom of this page.
The release notes at Web Wiz Forums notes a lot of updates since version 11.01 (which is now up to version 12.05 - January 2022): Admittedly, I don't know how much work it is to update that software, but I keep pointing it out when the topic comes up.

Does anybody have ANY updates on this? Has anyone been able to reach M@x? The fact that this issue is happening to an http website is pretty concerning since it basically has zero protection from cyber attacks...
And it has yet to stop happening on Chrome—I've only been able to load the website on Chrome like, two or three times in the past few weeks. ProgArchives REALLY needs to switch to https (though I'm aware that's easier said than done with M@x being MIA).

Same thing here, for several days now. Chrome is my preferred browser (using Safari right now).

it's good to know it's not just me experiencing this issue. Chrome on Windows is working for me, but I still can't access PA via Chrome on Android.
Sean Trane's advice is good - Avoid Google crap as much as possible (it spies you and sells your infos) - but I don't know if i have the time or the energy now that everything is synched across multiple devices.

Still having trouble with posting and forum loading...but this is not just about Google Chrome. I have no problems with any other web site or forum...just PA... so it has something to do with how PA is set up and interacting with the browser. Looks like I'll have to use Firefox unless whoever 'runs this place' can update the software here.

Avoid Google crap as much as possible (it spies you and sells your infos) Spent years kicking that piece of sh*t out of my laptop. Finally managed. Mozilla & Qwant at home Edge and Bing or Qwant at work. Never a problem except for the site sometimes rejecting my answering right on some threads. But unlike 10 years ago, the site doesn't forget what you're trying to post, so clicking on return (back page) you find it intact. Copy/paste and try again. Works 99% of the time.

I use Chrome on both laptop and Android, and I inevitably get that error message on the latter and never the former.

I wonder if this is remotely related to the intrusion problem that I noted on a separate thread that also started recently... http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=129510

A week or so ago I was having this issue on Chrome so I tried PA on Brave and it worked just fine. Then, out of the blue I tried Chrome again a couple days ago and it loads fine on Chrome.
