Maybe to you, but it wasn't redundant to me as I just enjoyed watching it again. Anyway, there must be someone out there who hasn't already seen Hawkwind's Silver Machine video, especially if they're under the age of fifty.

so you have a low opinion about people under 50? So are you posting these videos for yourself?

No, it's just that if you're under the age of fifty then you're very unlikely to have seen Silver Machine performed on Top of the Pops back in the seventies.

Not what you meant, you basically insulted all people under 50, whether you wanted to or not, only you know. Your last post also doesn't make any sense, I'll let to figure out why... |

^ I give up trying to figure you out, or why anyone under fifty should feel insulted. Maybe I should just post another "mandatory redundant video".

So somebody under 50 might not know a famous song like Silver Machine? Really? Also here on PA? |

No, I'm just saying anyone under the age of fifty may not have seen the original Silver Machine video on Top of the Pops, but I'm sure everyone here at PA knows the Silver Machine song, whatever age they are. I have a confession to make though.... Up until going online in 2010, Silver Machine was the only Hawkwind song I knew.

You do know there are Hawkwind fans here on PA. Some Hawkwind albums have a lot of reviews. Also Top of the Pops is irrelevant here. It was a TV program in UK. There are users from all over the world here on PA.

^It's swelteringly hot (30°C) here in England today, so I think that calls for another mandatory redundant Hawkwind video.

While we're on the subject of Hawkwind and for anyone who's interested, there's a Hawkwind special coming up soon on Prog Britannia 11, featuring solo works by Dave Brock; Robert Calvert; Alan Davey; Huw Lloyd Langton; Nik Turner; and the Hawklords, none of which I've listened to before - apart from the first album by the Hawklords.

Mike Vickers: a multi-instrumentalist, formerly with Manfred Mann, before embarking on a long solo career, although he might have had regrets about leaving the Manfreds if the title of his first album is anything to go by. This first solo offering is the only album that's even remotely Psychedelic, and the final album is most definitely Smooth Jazz, but as for the seven albums in-between, that's anybody's guess which particular music genre they fall into., but who cares anyway. 1967: Mike Vickers - I Wish I Were a Group Again - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_k2pNJwgqHco-kTROZQbqL7YClGTcfMZ-c 1972: Mike Vickers - Brass Plus Moog - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_knaOYm5E-8NZQsa5_LrGyjudCr_zY0-b8 1972: Mike Vickers - A Moog for All Reasons - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lUNMiwfE8oaXm-FPek7wLFruNnP-cSuRQ 1975: Mike Vickers - A Moog for More Reasons - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nXzvSfDCY_oDGXAVRRNrPAMc7Etg-SggA 1989: Mike Vickers & Mo Foster - Technicolour - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_l18Qu4aiCNSgx4NC7VHu-QeA39P9pusH0 1990: Mike Vickers & Patrick Wilson - Destiny - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mzn4RrkAUWSC_-QfLctg-foM5nfJ9MMW0 1991: Mike Vickers & Alan Hawkshaw - Planet Earth - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kay3dlsuo_ZgeNkBfqE5sUc9ZUHlPGX2k 2009: Mike Vickers - Dracula A.D. 1972 (soundtrack) - http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mk7CQ46Kv0U7jLys1EoDOBhC_3vAGyuX0 2017: Mike Vickers - The Complete Soprano Sessions - Edited by Psychedelic Paul - December 25 2022 at 14:26 |
