A poll about two campy SF-movies. Mark that this is not about "Flash Gordon" but "Flesh Gordon". Take your pick.

I love both movies, by the way, and have seen them many times.

Here the trailers (warning, nudity in one of them):

I have only seen Flesh Gordan once (at least in full), and have seen Barbarella many times.  I really love Barbarella and it is very quotable for me.

I don't know if I've ever seen Barbarella all the way through. I did see Flesh Gordan many years ago.
From what I remember it was pretty hilarious.

Barbarella is a stone classic, but I admit that, while knowing of it, I've never watched Flesh Gordon! Must change that.

Man, it's been forever since I watched either. I remember really liking Barbarella. In fact I still have my original DVD of it. I'll have to dig out the Flesh Gordon and give it a go. Then I'll come back and vote proper.

Oh good, I first read "Flash Gordon", so it is good that you stressed that it was about Flesh Gordon... Rather funny film, but by way not as good as Barbarella!

Barbarella was always on a double bill in S.F. in the '70s with one of my faves, Ralph Bakshi's Wizards, though the two have nothing in common except a loose association in Heavy Metal subculture (the magazine, not the music).

I have paired Barbarella with the animated Heavy Metal film, and with Zardoz.  With Darkstar would be good.

Another very campy film with some sci-fi-ish elements that I love is the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I don't know if anyone here has seen CQ:

Hi,

Barbarella was more fun to watch ... and later FG was mostly show off crap to help start the gouging of the audiences for their money on something that was meaningless, but was more fun in the old days on as a radio drama, where your imagination could run riot instead of being manipulated. FG, btw, was not even sexy ... and the implications of Barbarella's story is far more interesting than the hero bs in FG.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

Brabarella for the movie and Flash Gordon for the Queen soundtrack. Smile

Ok, gotta go with Barbarella on this one. I think Flesh Gordon is just a little too low brow when compared to Barbarella. And my god...Jane Fonda is just stunning !
Duran Duran Indeed !

I've only seen Barbarella which I thought was ok(not nearly as bad as its reputation would have you believe). Flesh Gordon sounds like it could be an x rated movie. ;)

Me neither. Flesh Gordon sounds like a bad porn movie parody along the same lines as "Shaving Ryan's Privates", although I don't believe Meg Ryan appears in the movie. Embarrassed

Also Meg Ryan was not in Saving Private Ryan. So I don't know what you are talking about. Confused
