Paul, thanks for the Zappa addition, but this round my vote goes to Neil Young.

Let's hope there is no bickering about including Frank as a singer/songwriter.

Everybody Knows This is Nowhere near a clear win yet for Neil Young, but that's who I'm voting for too and he's currently leading in the poll. Thumbs Up

Everybody is Absolutely Free to question who I include in my polls, but I doubt if anyone would object to Frank Zappa being included. Wink

Zappa also doubled the guitar part with his voice on several songs. Just like George Benson did with his scatting.

Transformer is an amazing album, Perfrct Day is one of very few songs that captures almost funeral sombreness wity early morning prolises of a blissfull morning-mood. Very sombre but also very hopefull, the song and whole albums is a masterpiece.

A revamped old poll with Leonard Cohen, Gordon Lightfoot, Billy Joel, Lou Reed, Bruce Springsteen & Frank Zappa all now included (although not necessarily in the correct alphabetical order). Thanks for all of the great suggestions for new additions. Thumbs Up

It's now a poll for Everyman, unless of course you happen to be a fan of Bryan Adams, George Benson, Jim Croce, Neil Diamond, Randy Newman or Neil Sedaka. Smile

Tim Bucley's Goodbye & Hello is a huge step up from his debut while Songs From a Room is (very good but...) sandwitched in between my two Cohen-favorites. Buckley this time. Beautiful album.

Except for the Gordon Lightfoot which I haven't heard, these are all pretty great. Springsteen's second is my highest rated of his (=a whopping 3.5/5 stars)
