Hiromi Uehara made an appearance during the opening ceremony of the Olympics on Friday. I'm not sure how many of you caught it, but it seemed like something that needed to be shared.

I was about to write something similar. Pretty weird for such a "crowd".
I am not interested in the Olympics but some of the grand openings over the years have been quite beautiful indeed. |

I can’t find a video of the full performance, but I was introduced to the music of Jambinai because of their performance at the Olympics. As were many. Their FB page reported that they had 20,000 new likes in the two days following their performance, and their record label responded by making their albums half price on Bandcamp. (Needless to say, I snapped them up.)
