Guilty as charged! I've often used words like "bombastic" and "pompous" to describe prog albums in some of my past reviews, although they were intended to be positive adjectives. Embarrassed

It was an 'Opinion' used by music critics whose brains were too small to see what was being presented. Then it became a label attached to a genre of music that was excelling where R&R kinda stopped.

I ignore it when it's used to describe music or musicians in the progressive genre.
