A fantastic underappreciated RIO group from the States with a diverse sound ranging from dense, complicated and tightly played one-hundred-themes-per-minute constructions to Residents-ish noisy freakouts. Their 2019 album Redux, Vol. 1 (a re-recording of previously unreleased works from the 70s, to which they released a follow-up last week) is in my opinion the best prog album of the last decade and already ranks as an all-time favourite of mine; 1988's Happy Accidents, usually hailed as their best work, is certainly worth one's time as well. Strongly recommended for fans of avant-prog and the more out-there exponents of the Canterbury scene (Egg, National Health, etc.)

Wow! I am the new member of the band handling the Redux releases and working with Steve on our forthcoming album of all-new material 'The Strainge Case of Steve', and you praising Redux in this manner has made my week! Thank you so much, and I was delighted to see this thread :) Our next album is really something special, so I really look forward to sharing it with everyone once we have it completed!

You're very welcome and keep up the great work! I can't wait to hear the next album when it comes out!

You mentioned this band in my top five APA poll. I have been listening. Their music is very busy, but with time I could see myself enjoying their out-there compositions. Also, want to thank you for the Reuben Gingrich recommendation, really dig that.
