^ I've noticed Brian Auger's Oblivion Express are getting funkier and more soulful as they go along. They started off in 1970 as a heavy Jazz-Rock freight train steaming Straight Ahead, and by the time Reinforcements arrived in 1975, they were a fully-fledged funky soul train.
