This is turning into a Cristi And Paul conversation, so it's time to go. LOL

well, that's an insult
it seems you dislike being asked anything or someone simply disagreeing.
Whatever... sorry for asking a simple question. Ouch

It's probably because it's their proggiest album, but Classic Rock don't necessarily judge the albums with prog ears.

My favourite is still A Night at the Opera by far, because I think it is much more accomplished in terms of songwriting. It's the early prog Queen blending with their later more song oriented style.

On this day, in 1991, Freddie Mercury died. I guess today is as good a day, then, to pull out some Queen. I haven’t actually listened to any of their studio albums in years. 😱

Maybe the next Queen poll can be for favourite (official) live albums from Queen? My vote would go to Live at the Rainbow. 🤗🥰

I'd vote for Live at Wembley 1986, although Live at the Rainbow '74  is a strong contender too. Thumbs Up

Live Killers is excellent and better than Wembley '86.
Also excellent are:
Hammersmith Odeon, London 1975
Queen - At The Beeb, 1973

couple of DVDs - Rock Montreal 1981, The Game Tour and Queen On Fire - Live At The Bowl 1982, The Hot Space tour.

^ I've watched all of those great Queen concerts on YouTube recently, apart from At the Beeb, 1973.

the Beeb is the BBC, so this live album is Queen doing live sessions at the BBC. Early Queen at their best if you ask me.
I'm gonna listen to it later today.

Wembley’86 is possibly my least favourite of the live albums with Freddie on vocals.

Despite Hot Space being a fairly abominable album, the tour for that album was great. On Fire - Live at the Bowl is a great live album, and definitely more enjoyable, in my opinion, than Wembley.

I’m just hopeful that more of the infamous/legendary performances receive official releases. It was awesome after years of listening to my bootleg of Hammersmith ‘75, to finally own an official Queen release of that performance. (Probably my second favourite official Queen live release after Rainbow ‘74.)

I like Radio Gaga too and I agree that Innuendo is a great album. It's #5 in my Queen album rankings, after the first four classic Queen albums. Thumbs Up

We seem to be agreeing more and more these days, which makes a nice change. Smile

I initially wrote more trying to highlight the 80s songs that I find great, but gave up because i understand why some are not fond of Queen's 80s works.
But Innuendo is a great album, that's why I mentioned it.

No, we are not agreeing more and more just because we enjoy a couple of albums. You like music I would never listen to, and I like music you would never listen to. Let's leave it like that. No problem.

^ I say we're agreeing more and more but you disagree with that assessment. That's okay though. I should have expected you to disagree again, based on past experience. Smile

They say that great minds think alike, but in reality, that's very rarely the case. Einstein was brilliant because he saw thinks differently to everyone else, RELATIVELY speaking, AND, in the immortal words of Barclay James Harvest, Everyone is Everybody Else. Smile
