Maybe you forgot it. How can Rush's influence on a sound alike clone band be construed as influence on real prog metal bands?

I listened to Leger as you asked me to. It was very good clone music. Now answer my question.

How can they be an influence on real prog metal bands? Such an easy question to answer because there's only one right answer.

Now listen to the second album, and give special attention to the instrumental "Silent Monster."

If you come back saying that's "Rush clone music," we'll need no further evidence you're certifiable.

You didn't listen to the others, as I asked. And your question's already been answered in this thread.

You're done vesibly. We all know the answer. It's no they can't be an influence on the prog metal bands. Game over.

I love u Steve....but most if not almost all have answered your OP question as Yes..........And again it has nothing to do with me liking Rush or not, its easy to see they were a major influence/inspiration into the subgenre of prog metal.

Why don't you start another one on Prog-Folk, or Prog-Fusion, or Prog-Pop or Prog-Disco....... Tongue

Rush was a major influence on disco. Think Xanadu...

... wIth Olivia Newton John.

It would be remiss of me not to remind about keeping it civil. It went over that line.

“2. No Personal attacks (flaming or trolling). Keep it civil, show respect at all times for your fellow members. Disagreement, debate, even "heated" discussion is fine (though emoticons should be used to "soften" the effect of words). However, personally directed insults, denigration, etc. will not be tolerated, and will be grounds for warning and, if not stopped immediately, ejection. This applies equally to forum posts AND private messages. "Group-directed" insults and denigration (e.g., racism, sexism, ageism, etc.) also fall under this category, any such behavior will be taken on a case by case basis. Any member who engages in continuous baiting, borderline insults, or other continuously "aggressive" behaviour will be warned. Any member found to be using concurrent multiple personae (more than one profile at the same time) will be ejected from the site.”

Michael Beck: "The Warriors opened a lot of doors in film for me, which Xanadu then closed. Then again, any movie that spawns a hit stage musical can't be all bad!"
