Did Rush influence Prog Metal?

Rolling in flowers! Omg!  i'm sorry to get nasty with you, but you're just beyond with this stuff. Leger (the Rodler (?) bros) made a career out of copying different prog groups to T, such as cloning KC, Floyd and Rush, and couldn't come up with something original if their life depended on it. Look, I concede to end this because I need oxygen and my side hurts!! You win!!!

So now LdM, Tiles and Sieges Even are "Rush cover bands"?

Now here's the deal with sound alike bands like the Rodler Bros. That are one step away from the cover bands that they were. What they mimic is what their name sound alike implies. That involves guitar tone and effects, bass tones and effects, keyboard/synth tones and programming that sounds like their heroes. It's the sound of that band with little variation. The vocals may sound like Geddy Lee even. He might even use the same phrasing. But the music they make does not sound like Rush. You have confused how the band sounds with style,technique and the music they produce with that of Rush. That's why I said that the Rodler Bros couldn't come up with an original sound if their life depended on it. They do make original music, but it's not even close to Rush and that's where inspiration overrides influence. The music may not even be bad but it's not influenced by Rush. So, you stay confused about sound alike artists or you can see them for what they really are. But we know you're not that brave.

Here's another band. I saw them live in 2001. Again, just two albums! All-instrumental.
