Agree strongly with much of what you have to say about this excellent album FatherChristmas, I wrote a review as well rated just slightly lower at a strong 4 stars.

Thank you Bartymj for writing the second review for this album which I also consider to be a 5 star modern prog classic! (As seen in my review for it) always happy to see love for King Gizzard here on this website! I agree with pretty much everything you had to say! I also really pickup on elements of Krautrock throughout the album.

Most kind, dear chap. A letter to Rishi Sunak at 11 Downing Street requesting an urgent enhanced retirement package, on Classic Civil Service pension terms, in order to devote time to such a blog in the interests of national harmony and wellbeing would probably do it ![]() I really do not have the spare time to devote too much to reviewing any more, but, as the schoolteacher always said in my annual reports to Mum and Dad, ability, but must try harder. I might get a couple going this week.

I'd just like to say I really like (and agree with) Lazland's excellent reviews for Mostly Autumn's albums, having been helpfully pointed in the right direction by SteveG. Lazland should have his own prog album reviews blog.

Agree strongly here, Happy The Mans first 2 albums are some of the most unique and amazing prog to come out of the US. Truly underrated, Kit Watkins is unfathomably creative on the keys.

Great review on Wakeman's Red Planet by SouthSideOfTheSky. It's nice to see an old prog god get some ink!

I have to wonder now whether you inserted those two asterisks in that English northern town or whether the prudish PA system automatically inserted them for you.

By the way, I had no idea the word "sw**ky" was considered rude here. When I used that word in my latest album review, I noticed two of the letters had been blanked out with asterisks. One other thing too: it wasn't me who inserted the two asterisks in this forum post.

My pleasure! I had no idea Linda Perhacs was on ProgArchives until I read your entertaining and informative review this morning. Her second album, released 44 years later, The Soul of All Natural Things, is well-worth a listen to!

Congratulations to Doug McAuliffe for writing an excellent 5-star review for Linda Perhacs "Parallelograms" - one of my all-time favourite Prog Folk albums.
