Update: Steven Davies-Morris just announced a scheduling change, this show will air tomorrow, Saturday 28 December. From Noon PT until 5PM PT From the What A Busy Week on the Internet Radio Shows
Department of Departments: The other big champion of Tom’s music on Deep Nuggets Radio, Steven Davies-Morris, will be playing a piece of music of Tom’s during his Through the Looking Glass show for this fundraising week. It will be a surprise to me (and you), which one. I’ve submitted quite a few requests for the show of other artists that I love that haven’t gotten much airplay on that station and/or have newer releases out (like in the last 30 days or so), and some, just because. Some were featured on Alex Cruzeta’s show earlier this week, and some were not. To see what transpires, please tune in to Deep Nuggets
radio todat, 28 December fromNoon PT to 5PM PT.
Link to Deep Nuggets: As expected, Alex Cruzeta did play “God & The Flatlanders
(Waltz Version),” from Burnt Peas on Monday’s show and used my request list as
a complete set. I really love these other
artists as well, they are all on Spotify (and probably all on youtube, but not
sure of that) if you want to check them out.
Here is the set list for you: Falling Into Blue - Charlie Cawood featuring Marjana Semkina Zeitgeist - Frank Wyatt And Friends There will likely be another time this week on another show and station for playing Tom’s music, but I’ve not gotten word yet which date, so expect another of these from me very soon. This has been a very busy year for the recordings, and I thank you all so much for listening and spreading the word. Related links to follow. Greetings, Hamerheads:
Beacon from Mars: From the Great Way To Start 2020 Department of Departments: Tomorrow, 1 January 2020, Zap Niles will include a Tom Kelly piece of music on his very fine Progscure show, which is on progrock.com from 6AM - 9AM PT. In Zap's own words: On "Prog-scure: Obscure Bands on the Prog-Rock Scene (Past & Present)," hear music from the past fifty years, including material by Akin, Astrakhan, Corporesano, Elusive End, Innosense, The Psychedelic Ensemble, Resistor, Solstice, Steve Hackett, and Tom Kelly, plus "Spotlight Sets" devoted to Gillan and Mystery. If you're looking for longer pieces of music, Tom's got more than this one. Link to Deep Nuggets: http://deepnuggets.com/ Also on Larne's Best from Prog Alley radio in Germany, Larne Peters played two pieces from Spinning Through Eternity, one on each day that ensued during his 24 hour annual marathon. Greetings Hamerheads: Direct from the Department of Near Future Events Department, it has been made known to me that Tom's music will appear for the second time on Rick Dashiell's fine show, "The Rickter Scale," on Delicious Agony radio today, Tuesday 7 January. Delicious Agony is a 24 hour progressive internet radio show, Rick's live show airs from 9AM until Noon PT. Link to Delicious Agony: http://www.deliciousagony.com/In
other news, Love IS Money, from Burnt Peas made a debut appearance on Zap
Niles' Progscure show on Progrock.com on New Year's Day, with lovely comments
in the chat room, and I believe that it is also leading to yet another show on
Progrock, upcoming....news on that will be sent when that is confirmed.
Progrock is also another fine 24-hour internet station. Link to Progrock: https://progrock.com/ Lastly, for today, Spotify released
it's statistics that wrap up the previous year.....In 2019, Tom's music was
played in 24 countries! I wish there were similar stats for other
streaming services, etc, but that is pretty mind-blowing, at least for
me. And I know some of you here are responsible for that, so I thank you
for listening, for adding him to your playlists, for continuing to get word out
there. Greetings from Mars, Hamerheads: From the Very Excited To Be Part Of This Benefit Compilation Department: I was approached by the curator of this benefit effort on behalf of the Bob Moog Foundation for a piece of music of Tom's, if I would be interested. Of course I would! There are many fine artists who are already involved, after all many progressive, post rock, electronic and ambient music artists owe a lot to Bob Moog, and the foundation created by his family after his death is in need of some assistance. This link is to the pre-order page, there are going to be quite a few more added, as it's become quite a popular project....many you may not have heard of and there will be plenty others that you will, or will find that you will want to explore further, besides Tom's music. I am also adding a link to the Bob Moog Foundation, so you can see what you would be contributing to. Attention Hamerheads: From the Department of You Probably Guessed It By Now Department: Of course you did! I have advance notice from the kind people at Friday Night Progressive that some Tom Kelly music will be aired on their show tonight, Friday 17 January, 2019. FNP has it's own website, you can access the music and also their very friendly chat room there. Festivities begin at 6PM - 8PM PT, beer is free. Link to Friday Night Progressive:http://fridaynightprogressive.com/home/ In the meantime, other recent
airplay notes are that "Catherine," appeared on The Rickter Scale,
courtesy of Rick Dashiell on 7 January and also a surprise airing of
"Chapter One : A Book Wife," thanks to Geo Warner of KSQD in Santa Cruz
on his Music for All Occasions show on the same day. The word is out on the Bob Moog Foundation Benefit preorder, that has been going quite well, with new music added daily. In just 2 days, Tom's track has been played 80 times already, the most of any of the pre-listening tracks available so far. It's a really inexpensive way to check out a variety of progressive rock, post rock, ambient and electronic music, if you are so inclined. Link to the bandcamp page for the preorder: https://petroglyphmusic.bandcamp.com/album/petroglyph-music-2020-compilation-for-the-benefit-of-the-bob-moog-foundation?fbclid=IwAR2dtQySbQYigYzfAelKNN0M5zfJSp3oitdnz_BWLgRqC-TyBI9g3yW522c Link to the Bob Moog Foundation https://moogfoundation.org/ Thank you again for listening, for sharing Tom's music far and wide. I will of course keep you informed of any other developments as they occur. I hope to "see" some of you at Friday Night Progressive. If you haven't checked into the show yet, you'll hear a wide range of exceptional music from the progressive world.

From the Department of Martian Music Meandering on Monday Department: Peter O'Neill (Peter Prog), will be playing an instrumental piece by Tom Kelly, today, Monday, 20 January, on his Epic Mondays show on Progrock.com. Attention Hamerheads:
From The Department of A Little Bird Told Me Some Music From Mars Would Appear Department: I was asked the other day if I would mind if Cliff Pearson played some of Tom's music on his show this week, Live from Progzilla Towers, today 19 February from Noon until 3PM PT? Of course, I'm delighted! So tune in to Progzilla Radio and let's hear what he decides to present. They have an active and friendly chat room as well, should you be so inclined to talk about music and whatever else may arise in conversation. Link to Progzilla: http://www.progzilla.com/ In other news, Tom's music has appeared thrice on Aural Moon in rotation in February, one song from each of the three CD's, spaced a few days apart: "Love IS Money," "Dedication" (from The Bookwife Suite), and "The Wayfarer, Part 4," were the pieces that were deemed of interest this month. Tom also returned to Prog Rock Nation on 1 February, with "The Bend," and "The Fork Boogie," which JulieSanchez adroitly segued into ELO's classic, "Boy Blue." Many thanks to those who listen and pass along the info.

Greetings Hamerheads:
From The Department of Announcing A New Landing Site Announcements Department: Due to CD Baby closing it's online store at the end of next month, I have created a Bandcamp site for Tom's music. Which I could not have done without the help, once again, of David Hurst working up the proper sized photos for me, my grateful thanks to him for that! It is now active, please feel free to share. There will be another announcement later this week for some airplay as well. Here is the link to the site:

From the Department of Timely Information Department: Tom will once again appear on Friday Night Progressive, tonight, 28 February, 6PM - 8PM PT. Come along and hear some of the best of indie prog making the rounds on this fine show. There's a great chat room, too, and the beer is always free. Link to Friday Night Progressive: In other news, Cliff Pearson played the "Dedication," portion of The Bookwife Suite on his Live From Progzilla Towers show on 19 February, and the new Bandcamp site has been busy, with over 50 plays of music so far. There will be some other certain airplay coming up, you'll be advised of course when it makes sense to announce that. In the meantime, thank you all again for sharing and for still listening out there. Love to you all, ~Nickie

Greetings Hamerheads: One more time....Please note that the time change isn't in effect yet in GB, so this show will air at the OLD 10AM, which is 11AM PT.....Sheesh! From the Department of Strange Emanations and Ephemeral Enquiries, Ghosts and Haunted Dollhouses Department.... Strong likelihood that there will be an appearance of my favourite Ghost of Palos Verdes on Steve Petch's (aka The Progmeister) show on Progzilla, today, Sunday, 8 March from 11AM until 1PM PT. You know how fickle ghosts can be, so I can't promise it, but Steve has a fine show anyway, and since we'll all be tired from the time change, why not lounge around a bit tomorrow and listen in? Link to Progzilla: http://www.progzilla.com/ In other news, Friday Night Progressive's Ron Marquiss chose to play the entire Bookwife Suite on his show on 28 February....quite an honour for a two hour show to devote 25 minutes to one artist. played "The Keys," on his Light Without Heat Show. Link to that
show, in case you missed it: Thanks again to all who are still listening out there and passing along the information. Alex's show is very wide-ranging, Prog Hour is the 2nd hour of the evening. Show begins at 5PM PDT and runs until 9PM PDT. If you are on FB and feel like stopping in to a guaranteed plague-free chat, let me know and I can get you into the closed group page for the show. Attention Hamerheads!
As we go forward into the
past: From the Department of If You Missed It, Now's Your Chance To
Listen Again Department: Do you remember February? If you're anything like me, probably not too vividly. The whole world seems like a different place than February, after all. As most of you have probably guessed from the issuing department, you have a second chance to catch a show that aired in February with Tom's music on it. Today, Saturday, 21 March, Prog Rock Nation will be airing this show for the second time, from 7PM - 10PM PDT on KTAL Community Radio from Las Cruces, NM. Julie did an excellent job putting this show together, the segue from Tom's music to the next piece was pretty inspired, I thought. Link to KTAL: http://www.lccommunityradio.org/ One of the things that we can all do is safely listen to music, it's a great time to take advantage of this time to do that and I thank any of you who have taken some of their time to listen to Tom's. Greetings Hamerheads: Dontcha just love Friday Night Progressive?
From the Department of It's A Really Safe Place To Gather Together In These Trying Times Department: As you probably have guessed already, I've gotten advance notice of some music of Tom's being played, once again. Tonight, 27th March, 6PM - 8PM PDT, please gather if you will, around your platform of choice and tune in to Friday Night Progressive. Chat room is free, lots of fun and as already noted, a safe place to congregate on Friday nights. Link to the show: http://fridaynightprogressive.com/home/ In other news, Prog Rock Nation on KTAL Community Radio played a rerun of their February show on 21 March, with "The Bend,"
and "The Fork Boogie," beautifully segued once again with ELO's
"Boy Blue." Julie does at times announce podcasts of such, she
has not yet, so I hope you had a chance to tune in to the program. Link to KTAL: Also, SAM the robot is playing selected Tom tunes on rotation on Aural Moon this past week. (Aural M-O-O-N, that spells great radio!). If my calculations are correct, something from probably "A Quail's House," is likely to show up on Saturday, 28 March, any time from 3AM until 4AM-ish PDT. Sort of an auspicious day for me. I'll go and give it a look-see when I wake up. Link to Aural Moon: http://auralmoon.com// Thank you to all of you who have followed this, I am so glad
we are all still here, listening to these ripples that Tom gave us to keep.

Greetings Hamerheads: Spirit
Peas On The March
From the Department of A Little Birdie Flew By With An Important Message of Upcoming Airplay Department: Once again, a particular champion of Tom's music has notified me that he intends to play something from our Ghost of Palos Verdes' repertoire. Alex Cruzeta's show, The Monday Chemistry Sets airs on Deep Nuggets radio and today's show, 30 March, will include more music from Tom. Alex has a whimsical show which tends to place progressive music in the second hour, but there are no guarantees on timing. The show starts at 5PM PDT and goes to about 9PM PDT. Link to Deep Nuggets: http://deepnuggets.com/ In other news, on 27 March, Ronald Marquiss featured the entire Burnt Peas Suite on Friday Night Progressive. I am honoured that he gave 25 minutes of his two hour show to Tom's music. Peters, played "Catherine," from Spinning Through Eternity as a happy
birthday to me, on his Prog Alley show, Larne’s Finest. Thank you to all
of you who sent me birthday wishes. Oddly, Tom's brother,
Arthur "Skip" Kelly, shared the same birthdate with me. I
cannot image two people more unlike each other, but I know that Tom loved both
of us. May Skip also rest in peace. Link to Prog Alley: As always, thanks to those of you who have taken the time to listen. Attention Hamerheads!
From the Department of If Space is a Neverending Sea Does A Ripple Continue Forever? Department: It's been a few weeks since any advance notice of airplay, but here is some news for today, Friday, 8 May. There have been a few champions of Tom's music, Friday Night Progressive has been a particular one of them. This will be his 5th appearance on the show since March of 2019. Show airs from 6PM - 8PM PDT. The chat room is friendly and active. Please stop by to say hello, if you are so inclined. Some few of you are regulars already to the chat, so you might meet some other Tom fans/family etc if you stop by and haven't done so before. Link to Friday Night Progressive: http://fridaynightprogressive.com/home/ In other news, on 30th March, Alex
Cruzeta (another champion, I might add) played the entire Forks Suite on his
Monday Chemistry Sets show on Deep Nuggets radio. Here is a link to Deep
Nuggets: The next afternoon, Geo Warner (yet
another champion) featured Nothing Ends/Nothing Begins on his show, Music for
All Occasions, on KSQD out of Santa Cruz. Sadly, that was his final
show for that station, he's got some other concerns at the moment, so is
temporarily stepping down as a regular host. He will be guest hosting
from time to time, however. I will really miss his show, it was so very
Santa Cruz, and as he grew up in the same era in Manhattan Beach, CA as Tom and many of our friends and family did, Geo played a lot of music from many genres that we all knew and loved,
including, of course, progressive rock. Lastly, but not leastly (wow, everyone on this Martian Mail has been a particular champion of Tom's, playing his music multiple times since they received the material!), Stuffer White played Travels Part 3 on his Light Without Heat show on 26 April. Link to Stuffer's show at end of paragraph, also with a VERY active and fun chat room, every Sunday night from 4PM - 7PM PDT. Many regularly make this show's chat, along with Friday Night Progressive; again if you haven't, it's a chance to "meet" some other fans of Tom's and of other great progressive music. https://www.spreaker.com/show/light_without_heat As some know, we have passed
another of Tom's birthdays without him here, yet of course, most of the best
part of him is right here to stay, now that we all can have his music. I
am grateful to everyone who has helped me get the music out there and who
continue to do so. I had no idea when I started sending it all out well
over a year and a half ago that it would still be garnering positive
attention. I hope to continue to "see" all of you out and
about online, in the chats etc and thank you all so much for being here.
