Brilliant two acoustic guitar adaptation of Pink Floyd's epic "Echoes". If you've never seen Rodrigo y Gabriela in concert, I suggest you go post-haste. Splendid live.

I saw them a couple years ago, and they were fantastic. Have tickets again for their May 23rd show at the Detroit Fillmore.

Supa. I haven't seen them live, but Palladia (now called MTVLive) did air a RYG concert. The final piece performed was, of course, their arrangement of Metallica's "Orion."

Hi,

OUTSTANDING!

This is what I mean when telling folks that the measure by which somethings have to be defined as "good" and "great" should be done ... UNPLUG the damn thing ... and see if the song or the piece of music makes it ... and as you can see, somethings will usually make it and sound spectacular in the hands of some people that know what music means and how it works ... instead of it having to sound like some sort of idealistic notion of its style and type.

The other person these days, doing similar stuff to ELP is Rachel Flowers ... it just tells you how great some of the music that those folks did, really was ... and things like TARKUS on the piano or organ (solo!!!) is actually a fantastic piano concerto ... just that the original was done in modern style with modern equipment.

Hearing things like this by these two ... is just such a vindication that so much of this "progressive" music is so much more than just some loud crap and guitar idiot out there ... but this generation has not been made as openly aware of these things as they have been by the commercial brain washing.

Thank you DE for this wonderful piece.
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
