Many thanks to aapatsos for updating my WytchCrypt biography, it looks great
There's one more minor change I believe needs to be made. The bio mentions my PA Neo band, "Mutiny in Jonestown" but it's not a link. Could someone kindly make "Mutiny in Jonestown" link to that bio at: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=10248 Thanks! |

^ OK, Dennis, it's done and I took the opportunity to update other links as well - see if you agree, please.

Thanks for jumping on this, the biography link looks great! I really like the links you added at the bottom, though I have a question. They both point to Mutiny in Jonestown albums and the MIJ website rather than the WytchCrypt album. Is that OK to put on the WytchCrypt page or do you think it might confuse people? If not, they need a couple minor changes... 1) The "BANDCAMP" link at the bottom actually points to the Mutiny in Jonestown Bandcamp page...I think this should point to the WytchCrypt album rather than Mutiny in Jonestown albums, correct? The WytchCrypt album is available on SoundCloud at: https://soundcloud.com/dennis-m-366105599/sets/wytchcrypt-novembre-sorciere-crypte. Perhaps you could change "BANDCAMP" to "SOUNDCLOUD" and correct the link to reflect this? 2) The "WytchCrypt Official Website" link at the bottom actually points to the Mutiny in Jonestown website. WytchCrypt doesn't have it's own website at this time You could either remove this or update the link to point to the WytchCrypt SoundCloud album at: https://soundcloud.com/dennis-m-366105599/sets/wytchcrypt-novembre-sorciere-crypte. What do you think? Thanks! Dennis |

^ The link you mention:
https://wytchcrypt.wixsite.com/mutiny-in-jonestown I happily assumed it was the right one for both acts - what happened ? |

I can totally understand why you'd think that Actually, wytchcrypt is my Wix login account name that I used when building the website. The site is only for Mutiny in Jonestown albums though... |

I have some corrections to be made to the Mutiny In Jonestown
discography. I was originally working with Keishiro (DamoXt7942) on
these on a request I sent him a couple months ago, but he mentioned
being very busy with activities outside PA and hasn't gotten around to
it. I tried touching base with him last week, but he hasn't responded
so I'm guessing he's still too busy (or possibly disgusted with Captcha
:-) so I thought I'd post these here to make his life easier and remove
this from his plate
The changes are required because I moved 4 albums from Soundcloud to Bandcamp and added an additional 7 albums there (Bandcamp is so much cooler than Soundcloud not to mention offering a better service for free instead of Bandcamp's $99/yr fee) If someone could kindly make these corrections/additions I'd be most thankful *********** 1) Please replace the Soundcloud link with the new Bandcamp link I've provided for these 4 albums: a) The False Hollow Phantoms of Beauty: https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/the-false-hollow-phantoms-of-beauty b) Lost in an Absinthe Dream: https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/lost-in-an-absinthe-dream c) The Witching Hour: https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/the-witching-hour d) The Daemons Mock Me While I Sleep: https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/the-daemons-mock-me-while-i-sleep ******** 2) Please add these Bandcamp links to the discography "releases information" section of these 7 albums: https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/anthology-i-1988-1992 b) Anthology II (1993 - 2002) https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/anthology-ii-1993-2002 c) Anthology III (2003 - 2014) https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/anthology-iii-2003-2014 d) Lost in Line https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/lost-in-line-2 e) Providence https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/providence f) Twist & Grout https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/twist-grout g) Eat the Bugs https://mutinyinjonestown.bandcamp.com/album/eat-the-bugs Thanks Edited by The.Crimson.King - November 15 2017 at 13:28 |

^ Dennis, what you're asking is most unusual - frequently we link the bandcamp (or any other webpage/store) when convenient, NOT the individual albums, I'm afraid.
I guess you'll have to contact again Keishiro (in a few days, when he comes back) and see if he agrees . |

Oh, OK didn't know that. It's the way Keishiro set up my discography so I thought they were all like that. I'll wait to hear back from him Thanks! |

Folks, we'd better get to work - Our "team" at the moment:
Ian (Nogbad) Steve (Lazland) Thanos (aapatsos) Greg (Logan) Luca (Octopus) Ken (keneth) Jose (Quinino) - I guess that if we keep the habit of posting our progresses here, there's a chance more volunteers will come up and reinforce our posse along the way. - My suggestion is that each of us dedicates himself to one sub-genre, starting from the top 100s list. - We could try to harmonize the way to edit the text - one tip to start with: I believe the Bio should always be signed AND dated so anyone reading it can immediately check its actuality. Please share your thoughts... |

I think one easy way to start would be to pick the bands we most like in our subs (e.g. I can do some PM bands that in dire need of update).
One thing to watch out for is keeping references to existing bios where there is a sig i.e. we don't want to discredit people who have already put some work to write the existing bio. On the other hand, we don't want to be repeating information so suspect that the edit should be complementary in those cases. Thoughts on this? |

^ Well, no doubt about that - we should keep a reference to the existing sigs, of course, but I suppose the footnote may vary according to each particular situation (totally new Bio, extensive re-edit, light update,...).
On another matter - I believe we could get rid of the superfluous discog listing some folks include at the end of the biog (unless it's a selected recomendations list) |

I just want to be clear on what I should be doing
1) look at bios of top bands in prog folk (using top 100 albums list to start) and make any updates to the bio to bring them up to date. So if the bio was last written when the latest album was XXX and it says so, I should smooth that out and either say what the latest album is, or, maybe better, remove such references that would immediately be out of date and update their history to the present, adding in my name and date, without nullifying what was done before. 2) look at bios of prog folk bands that are very scant and try to beef them up. I am going to check in with my team so they know this is going on Thanks Ken

maybe we could have several verbs
revised by - meaning we may have changed some of the original information updated by - meaning we brought it up to the present expanded by - meaning it was a one or two liner and we bolstered it of course, if we are doing some bombination of the above we could do say, revised and expanded by |

^ & ^^ Ken, you stole the words from my mouth, man - excellent suggestions, I subscribe them all !
Another tip to your consideration, guys - I like to headline the Bio with a synoptic ID, examples below "Formed in Knapstad, Norway in 1971 - Disbanded in 1978 - Reunited briefly several times for Live concerts" "Miles Dewey Davis III - May 26, 1926 (Alton, Illinois, US) - September 28, 1991" What do you think ? |

I think that is a good idea. Given that I am not a member of any team these days, I would like a wee bit of a steer as to what to look at. I know what my favourite bands are, and they tend to cut across Neo, Symph, and Crossover. I am quite happy to look at the top bands I have reviewed, as I am familiar with most of them, but am happy to be guided. |
