I've avoided the captcha recently by only posting plain text, so no images, no links, no quotes etc. Thus I would unironically suggest that we fix the problem by getting rid of all the captcha-causing features and turning the forum into a textboard or possibly a BBS. |

Yeash I got a capture thingy too and it blew one of my much coveted reviews to smithereens never to be seen again. Damn I had to rewrite it and I was in a foul mood so the album copped a bigger whalloping. Oh well it means you have to copy everything before posting - as simple as that. Annoying... |

More likely down to me and an admin moving threads to the appropriate part of the forum. I know I've moved a fair few to 'lists', 'recommendations' and 'general music discussions'
 I fear all this captcha non-sense is a case of the ol 'shooting mosquitoes with cannons'. I'm starting to believe this craptcha has an evil living mind of its own, I'll explain: whenever I remember to previously copy (nowadays almost always) the message, post, whatever - nothing dramatic happens, all goes thru - the very rare times I forget to copy the contents, almost sure an error message will pop up and there goes my work down the drain.

My experience is a simple post such as this gets through ok, but a reply or a post with anything "clever" like a hyperlink gets captcha'd every time.

8-9 feckn captchas with multiple cases of identifying streetsigns, cars, shopfronts (so not really 8-9 katjas but 16-18) and it won't even let my post through? This is ridiculous....and perhaps also a good time to take another break from PA. Merry christmas to all if we don't see each other. Peace. |

I sympathize with your hardship but, apart from bumping up this thread, I can see no use to keep on complaining.
I've reckoned by now we''ll have to live with it - in spite of the cons, m@x values most the pros of this (extremely annoying) layer of protection, I guess all because the multiple threats permanently going around on the web. What saddens me the most are the irreplaceable losses we recently suffered, micky and dean coming firstly to my mind. And now you ????
