I'm not able to edit my entries because of these f*kng CAPTCHAS, I do all the "click on the squares with vehicles", "click all the square with road signs" etc etc and no way, the CAPTCHA screen will give no error and jump to the PA page but my entry will not show the update. Funnily enough, if I then click again to "edit my entry" my updated text is still displayed there, but not on the actual PA page.
It's long since I did not post in PA but if it's going to mean having to deal with this CAPTCHA b*sht I will stay away for another 4 years....

Wait, Gerard, maybe it's simply the case of the former page being cached by your browser - try to refresh the page (on the proper browser button, you should know, sorry) and see if the updated info comes alive.

I could finally do some editing, apparently the browser was indeed loading the cacheed version of the page instead of the updated one. But the CAPTCHA thing sucks anyways...

There's a possibility that it even was not his own decision but eventually a demand from the host company holding the servers for the site/forum.
Anyone more IT can confirm if these security measures are happening around the net or just an unfounded speculation on my part. Anyway, the lack of communication is deplorable imo |

M@X says the complete removal of CAPTCHA cannot be recommended because of some vicious threats online. Now he's changed CAPTCHA frequency from "high" or "off" to "medium" ... we should keep an eye upon it for a while. |

Correct. The issues at hand far exceed the captcha thing. There have been bugs on this site for quite some time and continue to get worse. Main ones for me are: Often but not always on homepage and band pages the page will be deteremined to go to a certain point and stay there. If i scroll up or down it goes back. I get a user error of some sort for forums. I have to refresh once to 20 times and sometimes it just will not accept anything. The captcha things sometimes show up sometimes not.

What browser / anti-thingy does your computer run on ? M@x's info means no geek is about change PA's architecture so as to insert anti-robot programs at registration stage rather than at posting stage. I hope he'll have someone compile it all better. Any geek of trust here ? If there's nobody I'm ready to spend some time on it and see how it all works...
