Does anyone know why this recordings were not included in the A Passion Play or WarChild boxset?
I have a Musiccassette (from the 80's) titled Chateau d'Isaster Tapes. Before the internet I was very curious about this album and never quite understood what it was. It featured songs from the Warchild-era, but there was no info in the booklet.
Later on I read Tull were recording at Chateau D'Herouville, and it was a disaster (hence the title).
I'm very fond of the musiccassette and will hold onto it till the end of days. :D

I just relistened to Minstrel. Wow. Hadn't heard it in years. Fantastic record. Tull in their prime.
It's my third favourite album. I like the medieval/folk feel. But mostly St. Bakerstreet Muse. And of course the two long acoustic songs. Requiem is perhaps the best in its sort. Sublime!

Requiem is one of my all time favorites Tull songs

Apologies for the late reply but these tracks in this Youtube video were included in the 40th Anniversary Theatre edition of A Passion Play remixed by Steven Wilson. The first was the early "Skating Away...." recording and the other track is "Sailor" and it's there in its entirety on the 40th Anniversary Theatre edition of APP...."Sailor" is a fairly ordinary track IMHO.

I like sailor. I love left right and audition though
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

I just listened to TAAB2 yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised. I was kind of avoiding it like the plague, to be honest. But I'm glad I gave it a spin. I think I'm actually going to sit down and give it the attention it deserves before I make my final call.

I am wondering why did you avoid it?
I, stupidly, believed the tepid reviews. I was a bit afraid to have the legacy tarnished. Never have been so glad as to be proven an idiot.
