Area - Caution Radiation Area Very nice follow-up to their excellent debut album. Perhaps not as adventurous and exciting, but great nonetheless. The avant-fusiony path they have picked for this one really works well!

Hawkwind - Space Ritual Disc 1 Wow, this is how I got into prog for the first time. This album still gives me goosebumps in places. It's so atmospheric - just try to imagine what the show looked like!

Earthstar - French Skyline This is something special for all you Berlin School aficionados! These guys apparently came to Germany from the US and they were really embraced by Klaus Schulze and others. Their music is excellent!

The Alan Parsons Project - Pyramid.

Osanna - Palepoli Amazing album. Really, it's an essential part of my journey into the land of Rock Progressivo Italiano. It goes to so many places. The arrangements vary from punchy, heavy to delicate, pastoral, almost liturgical. Amazing!
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso - Banco del Mutuo Soccorso (twice) This is slowly becoming one of my favorite albums to ever come from inland Europe! I just can't believe how good this is. There is something about this bombast quality that really gets me. The arrangements hit the spot for me, melodies make me fire up the engine of my imaginary 1972 Ford Thunderbird, put on an old jeans Sears and Roebuck jacket and drive straight to Italy iluminated by the sunset. This album is close to perfection. I say that too much, but I love this one! And I really mean it. 
Eskaton - 4 Visions Entry level zeuhl? Anyway, I think this is probably the best non-Magma zeuhl album of all time (along with Weidorje's lone release and perhaps... Shub Niggurath's Les Morts Vont Vite. And maybe some of Zao's offerings). Anyway, it's great, managing to really highlight the best that zeuhl has to offer.
Il Rovescio Della Medaglia - Contaminazione I remember reading about this one a very long while ago in a book called Mountains Come Out of the Sky (I re-read a part of it today and it has an amazing chapter on RPI) and I had remembered it had a great cover. So, seeing it's held in high regard here, I decided to give it a chance. Man, was this a good decision! Their style is amazing. Those orchestral arrangements in between heavy rock passages with an extensive use of Hammond and Moog... Outstanding!
East Of Eden - Mercator Projected East Of Eden's Snafu is probably in my top 5 albums of all time. This one picutres them working on their signature sound - exploring exotic moods, flirting with world music, trying to mix it with psychedelia and Coltrane-esque jazz. Have not finnished it, I was not in the mood, but it's still a great one!

Why is this thread so quiet recently? Everybody just drops their messages without commenting on others' posts (I know I'm also partly responsible for that), as if it was a sad, monotonous routine. Jesus, I talk too much.

Throbbing Gristle - The Second Annual Report

Awesome day!

Museo Rosenbach - Zarathustra Man, I love this album. It has that raw power achieved through those heavy guitar riffs, loads of lush organ, mellotron, drumming all over the place, and active bass. Man. And those vocals - I've grown to love them! I was so fascinated that I finally got my hip to the tip and decided to read Thus Spoke Zarathustra. Well, not exactly the book, but a very lengthy, detailed summary. And now I'm doing a little analysys of it, just for myself. Anyway, the music is excellent and corresponds quite well with the story.

Univers Zero - Univers Zero (1313) Wow! I did not remember this one to be that good. I think I like it even more than Heresie. It basically takes everything I like about UZ and beyond. This one does not put emphasis on being dark just for the sake of it! The compositions could have very well been written by Stravinsky or Bartok. Man, this is good.

Le Orme - Uomo Di Pezza I am yet to catch fire with Le Orme. Or this album, at least, so far, I feel I liked Collage a bit better. It's still very good, romantic, but I sort of don't like how it's mostly riff-oriented, based on simpler motifs. But there is still light, I might just wake up and love it someday.

The Ornette Coleman Quartet - This Is Our Music >Free Jazz >Accessible. This must be This Is Our Music. Absolutelly killer album. Sort of similar to Out For Lunch by Eric Dolphy, but it has all of those great Colemanisms. Recommended!

Il Balleto Di Bronzo - YS Another stunner from Italy! This one is really dynamic and full of those quick, quirky melodies, often played by all the bandmembers simultaneously. Sort of reminds me of Crimson at times, though it's more romantic, "beautiful", less raw... Italian!

Kluster - Klopfzeichen My first Kluster album and I must admit that it's a totally different experience from Cluster. A lot more abstract, a bit less conventional, yet a bit unconfident. Still, you can feel the spirit and the air of Zodiac Free Arts Lab in 1970.

Good to see you caught the RPI fever by the way, not so long ago you said you didn't like it

There is a Polish saying (I doubt it translates to English well): "Only a cow does not change its views..."
