Can - Ege Bamyasi

Dun - Eros Along with Weidorje's lone album, Eskaton's 4 Visions, Archaia's self-titled, Eider Stellaire's first offering, and maybe Shubb Niggurath's debut, this is considered one of the finest classic non-Magma zeuhl albums. However, out of the ones I've just named, it's my least favorite one. Maybe it's hard to get into for me. But, as for now, I don't find it to have qualities that I appreciate and enjoy in zeuhl. I know it's good, but it's just not appealing for me personally.
Klaus Schulze - Cyborg Probably my favorite of Klaus' early works. I was  probably not in the right mood for it today, but still managed to kind of appreciate it. I think the cello-like sound combined with those slowly evolving soundscapes, as it was called, gives quite eeire results, sort of like Univers Zero or Art Zoyd. But it has that great electronic integrity.
Zao - Kawana Continuing my Zao listenings with their last album. Albeit the least zeuhly, it is probably my favorite. It takes everything I liked about their previous albums - technical perfection, complex arrangements, original fusion compositions. Amazing! Now if we just moved a little more zeuhl in here!
Cluster & Eno - Cluster & Eno Pretty refreshing. Even a person that is not into electronic music would recognize that sauce made by Cluster and Brian Eno is very different from what Berlin School has been producing at that time. It's a lot more "weeeeeeeeeelaweeeeeeeeeeleeeeeeeseeeeee" than "whirli-tirli-whirli-tirli" or "zhuuuushhhhhheeeeeeeeekhhhhh" like Klaus Scchulze or Tangerine Dream, if that makes any sense... It's hard to describe. At any rate, it' a great record!
Nucleus - Elastic Rock Nucleus might become my new favorite thing. I really started loving this album today. Of course, I was baptised in the Canterbury waters, so it seems a wee too sterile to me, but it has most of the things I like about Canterbury (and Zao for that matter), with an exception of breakng free from improv. Very good!

I'm flying to London tomorrow, I will visit loads of record stores (about 7 on my list). I will have access to internet and my laptop there, so I will check in here when I find time to. Taking a lot of music with me and my plan is to discover and start loving the band Area, as I thoughtt they might be up my alley.

I have Arbeit Macht Frei on my iPod, but when I get there I will have access to their whole discography via my disc. And will have some really good stereo speakers. Anyway, I am reading the reviews on it at the moment to perhaps get a taste of what to expect and set a mindset if you will. First time I've listened to one piece, a long while ago, I was not impressed, something really turned me off. But I can't even remember what. Anyway, carte blanche and I hope to become a huge fan of the band.

Yep, lots of one shot RPI band out there....i remember how much fun it was to discover all those for the first time.
