Sam, on the first track I had the briefest of reminders of that Light Year album, probably just because of the female singer.
Great, now I need to go and dig out the Light Year album!
I didn't associate it with Light Year, maybe that means you miss the album I really enjoyed it. It's such a unique gem, so different from anything I heard from the Krautrock genre

Very likely the only similarity it has to Light Year is that they both have a female singer!
Yes, there was even a label stuck on the Siddhartha CD case that said it was a rare and strange Krautrock album, but I honestly think it jumps around a whole bunch of styles, jazzy one minute, symphonic and The Nice-like the next, etc. Some of the playing was very tight, other bits were a bit rough and loose.
But absolutely no regrets buying it!
