Ah jeez Lem.  Not that you took care of yourself but I kinda thought you were an Immortal.

RIP.  Given his drug abuse history this isn't all that surprising.  I am also a big STP fan and figured it was only a matter of time before we'd hear that he became another rock n roll casualty.

RIP Scott Weiland.  STP was one of the "grunge era" bands I grew up listening to and his voice was always so recognizable.  Glad that I can say I saw them live in 2008 before he got kicked out of the band again. Cry

Absolutely...playing the Bomber album right now. He was an animal, but tight on those fast rhythms. An inspiration, plus he's got to be one of the coolest looking drummers ever. Not to be messed with.Cry

Sad news.  Was a fan of them in my school days, they were a hit machine in the 70s.  Saw them at a local community college 5 or so years ago, still had 2 of the original singers (including Cory) and the guitar player.  They were quite entertaining and still could sing and harmonize.  Rest in Peace Cory.

A very good guitarist from the Midwest passed away today.  Mr. Gary Richrath of REO speedwagon.  From all reports he was a very nice man, and an underrated guitar player.
