How do you know?

With high probability, guys with a wife and child are straight.  So while we can't know with absolute certainty, we can be reasonably assured.

Ture. But being straight doesn't preclude a person from liking buttstuff either.

It is believed that AK-47s have caused more deaths than artillery fire, airstrikes and rocket attacks combined. An estimated quarter of a million people are gunned down by bullets from Kalashnikovs every year. Thumbs Up
I'm no expert on firearms, but I have heard that there are millions of AK 47's in existence. I suppose Russia and China had to make money somehow during the Cold War.

Well, I only have knowledge of the Bible in how it relates to the history of Law and leave the rest to the Bible scholars.

My esteemed co member Dark Elf would prefer that I know the Bible inside out, but I don't know what I would do with all the knowledge I have on the Magna Carta and, especially, English Law from which our American Law is derived.

But there is wisdom in your words Mr. Leary.

The problem I see is most people on the forum do not want to attend bible study classes. In my experience when one person tries to explain the bible to another person it usually goes south quickly.

Well, I not sure what bug is up your butt, but I'm out of here. I tried to do something good but I'm afraid that this is unacceptable.

But please drop the rainbow Mr. Dean. It's 21st century, after all. Confused
Hmm, lots of things are unacceptable, but commenting on the tone of a discussion isn't one of them.
Sheesh! I made a mess of this post!

The first two lines of my previous response was directed at Dark Elf and his behavior, and would only make sense if used to respond to his last post to me. Had I edited that response correctly, my comment would have only been about your show of LGBT support with your rainbow avatar.

Being either a LGBT person yourself or just a LGBT supporter, I was annoyed that you did not come to my defense and that's what prompted my childish comment.

The world does not work that way and it was immature of me to expect someone of the "same ilk" to come to my aid.

I was publicly rude to you Mr. Cracknel, so I will publicly apologize to you for my idiotic comment.

I hope that you will accept my apology and we can move forward from here.

(Btw, the Trans flag is very cool also.)

OK! I like rainbows and think they are just spiffy. What is everyone's favorite LGBT flag? Mine is the trans flag, it has the best colors.

The only LGBT flag I know is the one with beautiful rainbow colours, is there another one? A trans flag? No pun intended but is it i.e. like here on PA a sub-genre? Big smile

There are a lot of different flags for different minorities within the LGBT community. Ones for bi people, trans people, asexual people, and so on. There is even one for the bear community.

This is the trans pride flag:

I haven't seen it before, looks like it needs more exposure. Beer
It's yummy, I crave ice-cream really bad right now Tongue

I just realized that you don't have a clue about what we are talking about.

The Torah or the first five books of the Bible are laws without commentary.

The Talmudic commentaries did not come about until the 200's C.E. Two hundred year after Christ lived and died. The Talmud is what explains the laws and tells you the reasons Why

Perhaps you should check things out a bit more before you go through all this foolish exposition. Confused If you were trying to impress me, you failed.

This thread was very positive, now why do people have to turn something so positive into negative?
Why is it when a people see a minority group topic, they start politicizing their views and/r start preaching the bible etc?!
Sonia, if you didn't read clearly, I certainly wasn't "preaching", particularly since I am an atheist. I was explaining the bible, which I have read and consider to be a great work of fiction.

The Dark Elf,
Of course you were not, I can clearly tell you were not preaching, it's directed to what was previously said and in turn came to what you said.
It was not directed at you at all Dark Elf, you silly billy Big smileBig smileHug
