I don't know if there are many Portuguese fans though, there seemed to be much more tourists than Portuguese people. I felt a bit out of place, considering it was in my own country

Cool I too wondered how the audience would react to the more rocking or funky nature of the band - after all it was the last night of Copenhagen's jazz festival, and I imagined the place being full of old jazz connoisseurs (which there probably were a few of).

I think it was very positive, considering how Rock they are for a Jazz festival I saw many moving heads and others that closed their eyes and enjoyed the ride. Oh, and there weren't many unoccupied seats

Thanks for the pic Samuel
Btw how was the reception in Lisbon? I know you dug the hell out of it, but what about the rest of the crowd?

Yay Ori Long time no see. Sorry about my late reply but I obviously forgot about my own thread.
I actually remember recommending them to you. I'm so glad you're still into them. The band is doing great in Scandinavia, but it seems as if it's slowly gaining speed in far corners of the world - I know The States and Japan both have small but extremely convinced fan groups. If you can get the word out to your peeps we're definitely starting to get somewhere....fast Mjeeah well, I just want them to continue with this project. I gather it's pretty difficult to continue such a large band, if the fan support just isn't there.

Thanks Audun, I really appreciate it!
....and yes call me Nostradamus, but I am absolutely certain that you'd go completely apefeaces for this band live. They are a true force to be reckoned with.

Forgot to read this when I saw it the first time, Dave, and when I'd read it I forgot to comment. Great read! Thanks. Sounds like you had a grooovy time.
And you too, Sam. Cool that you went to see them and had a ball. Haven't seen them yet myself, but I will if I get the chance. Sounds like an event too great to miss out on.

Sounds about right yeah. The only current band that tops this is the Finnish group Astro Can Caravan who actually plays music in a similar vein to Fire! Orchestra. Definitely worth checking out if you're into this kind of thing. Anyway if my memory serves me right I believe they're 22 members in the band - at least for their debut.

There were 19 musicians, I think it's the full band.

How many musicians were there? Was it similar to the gig in Copenhagen or was it a smaller 'travel' crew if you will?
