^^
It was released somewhere around January. It's good but has to many not really convincing (hard rock) cover versions on it.

Area is amazing. Which begs the question--which is your favorite Area album? Although I think Crac! is the best introduction to the band, I will always love Arbeit Macht Frei--that was where I first heard them and fell in love! Luglio, Agosto, Settembre is just enchanting.

The first one I heard was Crac, but for some weird reason I wasn't impressed. Only a few years later I heard Arbeit Macht Frei and was hooked!

The only Area I have is Maledetti. Too much yodeling (or whatever), mumbling, and non-musical parts. Been scared (scarred?) to investigate any further.

^ Don't give up! That one and Radiation are much harder to appreciate than Crac and Arbeit Macht Frei. Give the other two a try--at least listen on YouTube and see what you think before you write them off.

This one can be the place to start. It's my second favorite album before Arbeit Macht Frei. The three first songs are fantastic. The bass and the piano lead here. Terrific solos. The following three are excellent, more simple and melodic. You can whistle them in your bath. It's rare with Area. After a short improvisation, the album ends with the two most progressive tracks, kind of mix between the first and the second part of the album. Love it.

I'm going to look into some of these newer bands on YouTube today.
I don't recall seeing any of them discussed here so I'm not sure what I'll find. Deus Ex Machina IL Bacio Della Medusa Samsara Germinale La Maschera Di Cera Finisterre

IL Bacio Della Medusa is an excellent album, in the 70's tradition. |

So far Deus Ex Machina is Punk so I passed.
Il Bacio Della Medusa and La Maschera Di Cera both sound good. I haven't come across full albums yet so I'm listening to individual songs.

I just came across IL Tempio Delle Clessidre with the original vocalist from Museo Rosenbach.
I'm watching a twenty minute live video from 2011. There's an attractive young lady who is all over the keyboards. Guitar, bass and drums are solid and tight. They have two albums from 2010 and 2013.

Telestrat, you should check out a double live DVD of theirs, I just reviewed it on the front page a few hours ago:
Lady Elisa Montaldo is a keyboard queen, and the whole band are very talented. Two great albums that come highly recommended! |

The DVD looks interesting. A vendor on Amazon has the double DVD for twenty-eight bucks.
You can't beat that. In the mail this afternoon... Festa Mobile - Diario Di Viaggio Della Festa Mobile Procession - Fiaba Area - Arbeit Macht Frei Campo Di Marte - self titled Cervello - Melos |
