Hi all, I'm new to prog and to the forum

I hope my knowledge will increase reading and participating in this forum.

I actually own 2 tapes that I bought a long long time ago : Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Howe and Marillion's Seasons End.

And I bought Yes's Close to the Edge on CD this week and like it very much.

And there a lot more to discover I think …..

Welcome vava.  Close to the edge is and excellent choice. You have refined tastes already.

 Our tastes in music are so subjective. Some of the suggestions that you will recieve you will really love and possibly some you might wonder what the fuss is about but you will always have fun listening and working out what is to your taste. Personally, my taste is Yes (most of the 70s), early Genesis (before the pop era), some KC like Red and ELP selftitled, Marillion - Brave, Pink Floyd (alot of their stuff really) so I like Porcupine Tree and Dream Theatre (both awesome IMO) but so is Symhony X, Liquid Tension Experiment,  Blackfield, Ark (Burn the sun).

You've got a long and exciting journey ahead of you!

Just two albums I'd now recommend to you:

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
Focus - Hamburger Concerto

I think you'd find them both very satisfying. Do PM me if you ever want any advice!

I listened to Thick as a Brick, but i'll have to listen more
I have trouble finding hamburger concerto
