Mmmm... I don't know, perhaps Roxette or ABBA? Nah (though I do actually enjoy some of their music, but there are so many more brilliant things around). There's Anglagard (mainly for Hybris, though I still got to know better some other of their stuff), there's Pain of Salvation, Therion. Of course I also like Opeth. However, it seems I really have to get to know Anekdoten. I have been wanting to get Landberk's first album (the swedish version), but I just haven't been able to find it.

Anekdoten followed by Anglagard, Landberk and Sinkadus but man there are so many more.
Ditto!
Years ago when I was getting back into prog I heard all about Anglagard. Well I couldn't find their albums, but I could find Anekdoten. I'd heard of them and thought I'd give them a shot. Now Anekdoten is by far my favorite Swedish band

And if you haven't heard them give Kaukasus a try. They sound a lot like Landberk. Mattias Olsson formerly of Anglagard plays drums. Great stuff, one of my favorite albums this year.
