Oh yeah.  I was a punk guy before I was a prog guy.  They were one of my favorite bands in the 80s, along with the Minutemen. I was quite surprised to see them accepted on PA to be honest  but since they're here, I figured I'd write some reviews.

Yeah I know what you mean by surprised, they are not your ordinary prog band per se but they still desrve a place here because of that fusion of styles.

How are you getting along with ADll? An acquired taste surely - mostly because of the vocals I'd think....
Yeah, I'm going through my ADII albums tonight. I'm getting along nicely, but I haven't quite cracked the ADII code yet.

My problem with them aren't the vocals (love Renate's voice, my favourite track of theirs is the vocal driven "All the Years 'Round"), it's when they take those long instrumental journeys I tend to fall out a bit, not remembering what I've just listened to.

Now I'm listening to the third and last album of theirs that I own:

Was this your favourite of theirs, or am I not remembering correctly? This is my favourite ADII album, I think, tied with Yeti. Carnival's slightly behind, IMO, although it contains, as I've said, my favourite track of theirs.

a show I attended but had to leave early.  I was on a blind date and it wasn't the hugest success.
