Shhh, Dean -- nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Particularly in an Atheist thread. I think I'll go spam the Christian thread with equally inane pronouncements regarding my non-belief, complete with whole pages of Wikipedia-derived doctrinal hyperbole. I might even bring out...the comfy chair!

...And I'm not the only one who noticed

You noticed this remark of mine and decided to quote it here as part of your little rant against the mean old atheists? Perhaps it is because you use English as a second language, or perhaps you just don't understand sarcasm directed deservedly at you (or the Monty Python reference either). It was directed at you, Ivan, and the interminable cut-and paste walls of text you've spammed this thread with. I went back a couple hundred pages and noticed you've done that on this thread quite often.

My comment was meant to reflect how the Christians on the sainted Christian thread would be equally annoyed and downright displeased if I spent hours at a time spamming their thread with veritable mountains of Atheist material culled from every half-arsed site on the Internet. And kept doing it. Over and over. Ad nauseam (you're a lawyer and you should be aware of that Latin term).

But I didn't spam the Christian thread, and I won't. It would be childish, particularly if I blithely pretended I wasn't being offensive and annoying and was merely defending my point of view and my belief (even when there was no need to do so). But I was speaking hypothetically and referencing your tedious tirades. Get a clue.

I have nothing against philosophers. Though I do have things against people who make plain poor arguments. Plantinga seems to have a poor cohesive view of science, and I'm forced to doubt his reasoning abilities if he wishes to equate beliefs in other minds with belief in a God.

Interesting read T, and I have always considered myself agnostic for the reasons he states.

HBO had a documentary premier last night called Questioning Darwin whose subject matter I'm sure you can guess.

Using that someone put this video together which contains interviews with creationists which oscillate between the morbidly scary and sad.

^I wanted to see that but I completely forgot about it. I'll buy it or stream it when available. Oh, error, it is actually already available. Having said that, that is so atrocious. "If it was on the Bible, I will believe 2+2=5" I just can't even...

^ I preferred the Plutocrat image you posted in error as that was funny too, the worship of money and wealth is a religion for some

In the light of the release of the new "Noah" movie, it's funny (and sad) to read people online advising others that "Noah is a fiction story, not how the facts truly happened" Wacko

I am sure Utnapishtim was furious that Noah plagiarized his story. Wink

Noah should be a pretty long film as they reckon there are around 8 or 9 million species on this planet.

What they really mean to say is that this is just like when Peter Jackson portrayed  Elvish forces at Helms Deep.

Hey, there was a flood in that movie too! Coincidence or conspiracy? And did Noah have ents on the ark?
