Heroine. (yes, the full stop is part of the band's name) is a progressive rock duo from Detroit, MI that consists of Brett Oh and Bethany Sylvex. Brett & Bethany have worked together musically since January, 2000. First working in a band under the name Sylvex, the two later went off to form Heroine. in 2002. Today, still working under this name, the band is a duo – Brett, the mastermind behind it all & Bethany, the one who sings & write lyrics (& absorbs the limelight). With Heroine.’s progressive sound, they only ask that you not let the seven plus minute song lengths intimidate you …there are enough structural changes within one Heroine. song to compare with that of other artist’s entire albums.

From the band's official website: http://heroinemusic.com/home.html

"Hello & again, welcome to our brand new site, which along with this comes brand new everything! Of course, this is not entirely true.  Many of you will have found your way here while getting to know our sound at varying stages of it's development.  You may have learned about Brett & I when we first worked together in Detroit, Michigan under the name Sylvex.  You may have encountered us when we moved to Los Angeles, California and Heroine. was formed.  Maybe you found us with our last release 'Days & Counting.' in 2007 or perhaps you have just found us today.  No matter, there is great eagerness here to share with you all that we have produced & most importantly to share with you our latest offering 'versed X proxy'.  The sounds we have created, while slightly varying through the years have never lost what is signature & consistent; a sort of magic, this co-creation.  I can tell you from a personal standpoint that there is a musical resonance between Brett & myself that we always strive to capture in the hopes that you too will connect with our sound.
Please, take some time to get to know us & what we are about.  The release of our new album marks an entire decade of sound!  We are very proud of this album & can't wait for you to hear it."

Sounds like Heavy Prog to me, which probably means it'll get moved to PM.
