Cool Svet.....there's no way we can compete with underage drinking and being allowed to smoke still, but here's a taste of our little corner.

I would have chosen some different places and highlighted different things, but, I'm too lazy to make my own video.

Welcome to Atlanta, a quick tour by night through some of the more interesting areas of town.

Also this....the Marine Drive promenade.  This one apparently snapped during festivities.  Probably the kind of photo you are most likely to see in picture postcards as it presents a flattering view of the city.  Tongue

I live in a village not a city, and we don't have street lights because according to the parish council, "it will spoil the character of the village", so at night it looks like this:

LOL

I live in a village too.
There's probably some more light, but not something special to make a photo from.

Heh.....cool video. My daughter and son in law lived there (Richfield) for 6 years so my wife and I spent some time in the Twin Cities. We mostly hit the pubs/taverns (Muddy Pig..British Pub downtown..etc..) and restaurants (Manny's , Sample Room, Cuban sandwich  place...that was on Diners Drive Ins and Dives... ) since we are into micro brews and we went to Surly brew pub a few times..... nice area and we really liked going there but then they moved to Chicage so now we are exploring the Lincoln Square area.

Cool

Oh....I live in northwest Indiana....not much happens here . For fun we visit Chicago.

We're down in a little bit of a valley so can't see the scape.  This house is oriented so that occasionally a full moon makes it's way through the blinds to our bed.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Yes, this is Utrecht indeed. Some more characteristics:

The Dom church (tower):

Unique for Utrecht are the wharf storage facilities:

And even more, though often unnoticed: Lantern consoles. The lanterns are designed in the 1950s after the model of gas lanterns, which were replaced by electric lanterns c. 1905. Some of their pedestals have a unique sculpture. I guess there are some 600 of them. These were created in the late 1950s:

I have to admit it never occurred to me that Philadelphia would look so "concrete and glass", for some reason I had a different image in my head.

Anyhoo, of the cities I have lived in the one that remains my favourite by day or by night is Edinburgh:

There isn't much to see, it has a population of 2000 and is 4 miles from one boundary to the next, so as you can imagine it's not exactly densely populated, we have one pub, a church, a cricket ground and bowling green... and that's about it. The pub (called The Castle of Comfort) looks quaint, but it's not the friendliest place in the world, I've drank in there once and since then have referred to it as the Castle of Cold Comfort.

Nice.  I'd love to get out of the city someday.
