Where did that late run for Peter come from? He was miles behind until a few days ago!
Have you been buying votes Peter, how much are you offering!?
Do those who voted for Velv get another go, since he's gone?
| Well, 'twas not I, Greasy Liver.
In good faith, I voted only once -- and it wasn't even for myself!
Mayhap my ol' pal Philippe has been getting out the Gallic vote on my behalf....

This is doubtless obvious to most, but just to make sure that Philippe and all others understand: There is no election, there is to be no "president" (nor would I want that honour), and this thread has no real value beyond "entertainment."
We have a competent moderator (Maani), who, while notably absent of late (perhaps he is away) is -- as far as I know -- still "at his post."

Maybe the Pres could make final judgments on "Is so and so Prog?" debates?

What will the president's duties entail? Cutting the ribbon when we start a new thread?

James, that is a thought-provoking and encouraging thought. The only minor error preventing the prof from awarding your efforts an A+ is the double punctuation at the end of your first sentence. Lose the period, immediately! The question mark is quite happy (if a little unsure), and well able to do the job on its own. |
Whoops. You know my style; there was originally a much longer run-on sentence after the quotes. I deleted the statement but missed the little dot at the end. Well spotted!
Now please tell me how to properly punctuate a sentence that ends in an emoticon !

I must admit that I dont see any feuding on this site, not serious stuff anyway.
We have the odd obnoxious interloper but so far only one of them has stuck around.
Peter, your mood swings worry me.And you seem to take too much offence on behalf of others.
As for the old guard dwindling, I doubt if it is any different to any other forum.Max has just announced the 1000th member so some must be enjoying it!
