Edison's Children is currently playing, this is nice art pop music with some occasional violin and acoustic guitar. |

Nice that you choose an unusual LZ song, as it clearly shows that LZ was not just another hard rock band.

It was not my most prog-heavy broadcast last night, but nevermind... with LZ I have a bit of a love/hate relation, with the hate more on some of the "just another hard rock songs" (Whole Lotta Love, Black Dog, etc.) and the love e.g. on this one.

not sure. 1. This TD track is memserizing with its tribal rhythms and warm keys. 2. Todd Rundgren in a pastoral mood. From an album split between covers in its first half and original songs in the second half. 3. Marillion with a keyboard-driven pop-prog track. Appears on the B'sides themselves, and in a remastered version on the bonus CD to their masterpiece, 'Misplaced Childhood'. 4. Makaras Pen, a band I discovered with a sampler from the Projekt label I was offered when buying a Bernd Kistenmacher album. Heavenly pop somewhere between Cocteau Twins and The Sundays. 5. Ruby Jones, a singer who immediately remind Janis Joplin. This is a song in the brass rock tradition of the late sixties, the echoing effects on the voice give an extra dimension to the already impressive vocals.
