Back to 2 hours with a 9pm start, noting Cerys is doing her blues and soul show from 8pm - check it out.

A couple of Holdsworth remasters. A newie from Act Records in the form of Eric Shaeffer (of (em)) (described as jazz or prog elsewhere) . Found another David Sylvian contribution on a Land album. A first for me, something from Coheed and Cambria (described elsewhere as having a vocalist like Geddy Lee with testicular strangulation - hurts thinking about it!!!). Newies from Guapo and Riverside. And let's try some modern serious music......

As threatened Panzerballett feature tomorrow night, starting at 9pm GMT* - this time, all of Some Skunk Funk with a delicious solo from guest Randy Brecker, and quite a different take on Take 5. Catching up on some backlog of jazz fusion (which somewhat dominates the show) from Zappa remaster, to Fusion Syndicate, Chris Buck, Kenso, more Watanabe. Then the usual, unusual mix of what I fancy.

*Have we worked that GMT is 9 hours ahead of PST?

A belated update of tonight's playlist, apologies.

More (as requested) from Panzerballett's newie. Sorry Don, but not quite the Wayne Krantz requested but hope you'll like what we will be playing. Good reason for picking Mike Keneally as our featured artist taking us through to the Easter break: he is touring the UK (and Europe) from early March, and his tour management have sent me a couple of recent albums, including the one co-written by XTC's Andy Partridge. (Also something from the support band Godsticks). A couple of reminders of Reg Presley and the Troggs. And of course, the usual unusual mix of archive obscurities, prog, more jazz , blues and some folk....

Personally in a spin this week, trying to compile a 2 hr radio show while running and lecturing on a PG course on materials sustainability. However, here it is. Thought I had ignored British nu jazz for too long - so dipping into Phronesis's back catalogue. Positive feedback wrt two lady vocalists last week, means they appear again this week in the forms of a 1969 recording by Martha Velez and a new recording from the Norwegian band Beady Belle. For Don - Govt Mule doing the Beatles. And something from the Richard Thompson double CD Electric - but total play time of this album is 75 minutes, so why 2 CDs? (i.e. wearing my sustainability hat here):

Bonamassa becomes universal (stylistically) guitarist

Saw you had unusually warm weather, we are still under snow - as usual this long winter is boring to death especially during its last weeks
