Great, beautiful dogs! People who get pets from adoption / rescue always deserve my greatest respect!
The pic where Tater and Layla sleep together is soooooo cute!

^ That's a nice cast you got there. It's great what you've done, man. Wish I could afford such acts.

Three dogs all adoption/rescues. Starring:
TATER...aka Colonel Shriekweener (male unknown mixed breed, we adopeted him through a family friend as a puppy when the previous owners couldn't handle a puppy, most vocal dog ever and loud as hell) LAYLA...aka Bully Bitch/Li'l Wookie (female pit bull who thinks she's one of the guys, very skinny when we got her from the animal shelter now considerably filled out, sounds like Chewbacca when she wants attention) Deja aka OG or Old Girl (most recent addition, rescued her from going to the animal shelter at the age of 12? when her previous neglectful owners moved and left her behind, she was kept outside most her life, now she lives indoors just fine) Edited by Wolfhound - January 18 2013 at 17:48 |

These are the last pictures I took of our Marcel before I left my ex's place, I was watching a National Geographic documentary about wildlife and he was on the couch with me, watching it so interested as I was, following every motion of the animals on the screen, it was so cute, he really loved it!

Not exactly pets, but thought this would would be the best place to post. In one of our Blue bird boxes we have scattered around, I noticed a few days ago some nesting material coming out of the hole. Since January is not their nesting time around here, I began poking around and the nest material began to slowly move around. It turned out to be a Flying Squirrel that decided to nest in the box. Snapped this with my not so smart phone, but caught him looking out the hole.
Speaking of Blue birds, we had this guy come around every spring and summer for about 4 years. He had a strange fixation of attacking his reflection on our sunroom windows and on our vehicle mirrors. He would start early in the morning flying and pecking at the window thinking he was attacking a rival I guess (he drove our cat we had nuts back then...). He would slobber and crap all over the windows and car mirrors...crazy. Got a good pix of him one day sitting on a fence post, he does look a little deranged to me.

One of my 3 furry pains in the butt.
That was the first time I found Monte doing that. After taking pictures I discouraged him from getting on the counters and he eventually stopped. But he just looked so cool I had to save it first. LOL Here he is trying to blend in, and looking so refined and classy. Fact of the matter is, he's a mushy, wimpy, sweet bimbo of a cat. |

so my brother sent me this picture of our cat chilling on the couch with our father and the caption "So, I've been meaning to speak to you about something..." I laughed so hard, the angle is so perfect

Unfortunately I lost all my pets (they stayed with my ex) so I can't post pictures of them anymore.
These are not mine but I thought it's a cute picture for animal lovers anyway (it's from National Geographic) |

... I can imagine. Among Ernie's many nicknames are some with a closely related meaning - in different languages.

I believe the Egyptian cat god was Bast.
This is very close to what I call our cats from time to time |

He does not look like one of Egypt's royal mummies to me (you can check them out on this site), but when he sits straight with his tail in front of his feet, he looks like some ancient Egyptian statuette, unlike the cat which I gave an Egyptian name (Thutmose) back in 1970.

She was dreaming about running to/from something...haha! Wagging her tail and lightly barking in her sleep. |
