Wow that's an epic tale full of struggles! ![]() I must say I agree with you: one of the worst experience in life is a move. I also had twice in three years. Exhausting! During the second move (the last year) I lost many things and I was even forced (by my wife, obviously, we're talking of her) to empty three or four old boxes (clothes, books, musicassettes and old things I was fond of). Luckily, I was granted to give these things (well, part of ![]() Edited by Andrea Cortese - December 06 2012 at 16:49 |

Re - those Lydia tracks! I was very interested when I read that it had some similarities to Jacula/Antonius Rex, etc, being a big fan! It is a little like those bands, but with a few more recognizable RPI elements here and there ![]() Love the crashing wild guitars, lovely frantic female vocals too. They sound particularly like the ones of the second Jacula album in that second half of that first Youtube video. The `Visioni' track is a little messy, but I dig the nice organ and wild guitar soloing! Cool male/female vocals too! Both a great find, thank you Chris! |

Unfortunately Dall'Aglio made only that solo record. He worked as a drummer with Battisti and Il Volo and his first band was I Ribelli, whose singer was a certain Demetrio Stratos. |

How about Lucio "Violino" Fabbri and his "Amarena" album (1978)? Do you like this one?
He played with PFM and Piazza delle Erbe. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2jJKF6NF_k (Dynamo) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3o6Fap0dW (Black Gold) Edited by Andrea Cortese - December 07 2012 at 15:53 |

Apologia Lupi - Quel Qualcosa Di Nuovo:
Love the variety in this track! Kind of sinister opening, then wistful vocals, lovely flute, back to scary heavy guitars, upbeat chorus with sweet group harmonies, then big dramatic ending! Really makes me smile, what a beauty of a track! Anyone know any more about this band/artist? Seems they only did one single... ![]() Edited by Aussie-Byrd-Brother - December 07 2012 at 18:13 |

I didn't know this, Michael. 1974, a B side, the only single of that band probably. Too sad. Great stuff. Reminds me a little bit Dalton with a touch of CSNY. When a BTF compilation ?
I think I'm going to collect all these gems and send it to BTF.

Well, Pierre, put me down for the Apologia Lupi single, and Chris' suggestion of the Lydia one from the other day!
Chris, that Dimmi Fratello song is mellow and blissful pop, nice floating synths and dreamy chorus vocals lol! Pretty nice! |

Cheers Michael! Yep, nice stuff and I'd be curious to know if anyone has heard either of his full albums.
Pierre, I'm not sure how serious you are about a compilation of these tracks, but there's a saying in these parts - if you don't ask you don't get.

Wow, lots of posts of things to listen to since last visit. I did listen to Lydia and was intrigued by it and the reference to Jacula (which I have heard of but not listened to yet).
Still learning the RPI world, I see reference to BTF in posts above, what is this referring to? I hope its not obvious.. ![]() By the way, I have been into a lot of the jazz/fusion world this week (sorry Pierre, I used the F word

Emanuele Correani
![]() Emanuele Correani born in 1981 in Marino near Rome. Around 13 years he decided to learn to play the bass and began studying the guitar at the same time. In 2002 creates Embryo, a side project band to which he belonged. Initially, this project was only a "toy" with which experiment with new recording techniques and mic, and not with conventional instruments. After just two months of work gave birth to the first real cd intentionally not published, but will however need to confirm the effectiveness of this one-man-band. Taken seriously the goal of publishing a CD in the name of "Embryo", begins writing new songs, more complex and structured the previous compositions, aimed at breaking the traditional song format and be designed with the help of key experimental sampling and long instrumental sections: in this context E. Correani sounds, in addition to traditional rock instruments such as electric guitars, bass, drums and vocals, also piano, cello, synthesizers and "hits" such as bottles, crystal glasses, beer kegs, steel tubes, djambè and congas. The result of this activity, composition and musical research is the self-titled album "Embryo" produced and edited in all its aspects by E. Correani at his private practice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bCyCn_jOjDE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5tv8gclsCc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ac_mKH567yg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_UQrF0P6kk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgE8ifeiCfY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJsf9cF_lWk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTle8FjHY4M http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0laO4PZwRoo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vww4GmDqQxM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbmDGbcAoQw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7K-_acX7ehQ Available on Amazon and Itunes for download. Yeah that's the one that got me....despite the modern production it has the feel of a mid 70s album at times....I thought of Paese Balocchi once or twice in the dreamier moments
