If the Reds continue to play like they did in the first 2 game against the Giants (I think last night was a fluke tbh), then I might ask you to retract that. Wink

In all seriousness though, without Strasburg, I don't think the Nats' pitching is better than the Reds. And that's not me being biased. In particular, I don't see any of the other 7 teams in the playoffs this year having as good of a bullpen or being as consistent.

The Tigers were absolutely awful last night.  0 runs on 4 hits.  Only 2 hard hit balls all night and both were from Fielder and both were caught on amazing plays.  Otherwise the best offense that they displayed was striking out on pitches that bounced to the backstop and making the A's catcher throw them out at first to complete the strikeout.  I've seen this ugly offensive display far too many times this year.  I hope that it doesn't rear its ugly head again tonight.

It very well could though. If their offense is that sluggish again, I don't see any way they could beat the A's at home. Especially given how good they were at home this season.

As long as Scherzer pitches as well as he has in the 2nd half, there is still hope tonight, but not if they can't score any runs.

And aaaaaalllll day long on the radio I had to hear Francessa yapping his fat mouth "What are you crazy!? Why on Earth would you ever think of putting Ibanez over Alex Rodriguez? ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!?"

2 pitches, 2 home runs. Insane.
Already more clutch than A Rod has been since 2009LOL

Good move, because Ibanez is hot and Rod is not the same player as he was. Must be tough for Rod's ego, but with that 2 home runs, he could thank him.

I really hate that almost all of the Yankees "scrubs" are former all-stars.  Basically, Verlander needs to pitch a complete game shutout tonight if the Tigers are going to have any chance of salvaging their series tonight.

I'm a Yankees fan.  This is the first year since I started watching baseball that the O's are relevant so I've never really hated them.  I do hate the Ravens which, I'm pretty sure, is Baltimore's only other professional sports team.  If you're a fan of the Capitals, though, I can extend my hate there too.

Is it too late to change my predictions?  Why can't anyone ever get rid of the damn Cardinals?  They are like roaches.  Shame on me for trying to put the best remaining teams in the Series, anyway.  I know better.  Also, shame on the Nationals for their completely illogical, absolutely moronic decision to shut down Strasburg.

Time always wins.

You know I am not a Caps fans,I love the Pens baby!Clap

And I agree, the Nats are idiots for not playing Strasburg.

First pitch is just over 2 hours away. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about today. But then again, we won the first 2 in San Fran and came back here to Cincy with all that momentum, and look where it got us. And I know Latos is certainly capable of pitching the way he did in Game 1 of the series. Hopefully they're able to pull it out though. And what's October baseball without a few Game 5's and Game 7's anyway? LOL

Go Reds!!!

I took my usual approach to check in at inning 9 and I'm glad I did. Pretty nutty stuff all around. Don't know who I should be rooting for in this series but it was pretty exciting regardless.

And yay Yanks!

PS - Go Reds!
