It's also apparently the only release by the label 'disc drug'. And googling for this label brings up nothing.

Yeah, Theres quite a few Genesis dvds that weren't authorized/official. These are also quite popular around here it seems.
These two dvds by Classic Rock Productions are unofficial. A good many of their dvd releases are not authorized by the band. This one By Masterplan is also unofficial. Now, also Genesis In Concert 1976 is also unofficial The 1976 - 1982 Box Set release from Rhino Records was it's official, band authorized release. not this single dvd from BBC Films + Dvd. Also the only other release by BBC Films + Dvd was an unofficial dvd of a The Cure concert. EDIT: Actually, fail, that is an official release ^. It just needs this cover. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Genesis_Movie_Poster.jpg All these record labels have many unofficial releases.

Heres one from Rush. This live release by Leftfield Media is unauthorized by the band. Nearly all releases from this label are also unofficial. |

There are lots of "Inside" series releases by Classic Rock Productions. All of them are "independent critical reviews" and not authorized by artists, but they are offered by respected stores and nobody called Bob Carruthers (CLR chief) to the court yet. I don't think we need to delete these "Inside" DVDs and CDs.

I was under the impression that anything unauthorized by the band wasn't supposed to be listed here. But ok. |

Nononoononoonono. I was referring to what you said earlier.
It says no adding of bootlegs or albums unauthorized by the band. This is in regards to the two Muse demos. Not bootlegs. But not authorized for release. |

^ As far as I can tell, authorized by the band (or unauthorized by the band) is a tricky thing. We all know, in good old times bands were signed to labels, changed labels and so on. Labels, in their turn, could go bankrupt, become a part of a bigger label etc. In many cases artists quite often lost control over their back catalogue. But the remains of these unfortunate labels still had some rights, were able to give licences to other labels etc. And it's not against the law (no matter how good or bad it is).
Thus, as I understand it, "unauthorized by the band" is not necessarily equal to "bootleg". Edited by NotAProghead - October 15 2012 at 16:12 |

^ Defefinitely it's not approved by Gilmour, but I'm not sure it's illegal.
