Probably been mentioned already but Risveglio by Egonon is my favourite RPI release from last few years.

Hello friends, just noticed this on the Black Widow Records page concerning the band Il Tempio delle Clessidre:

"Il Tempio delle Clessdire and Stefano "Lupo" Galifi communicate the decision to separate their artistic roads. Paolo, Giulio, Elisa and Fabio thank so much "Lupo" for commitment and dedication in the shared achievements and for wonderful experiences lived together.
We want to point out that all commitments officially agreed are currently confirmed.
Any further news and updates are released only in the official TDC site or through site of Black Widow Records. Any statement made by the individual members of the group will be considered as purely personal."

I know it's a little awkward due to some of the English translation, but does anyone know if this means the actual band is completely splitting up, or just that Lupo from Museo Rosenbach is simply no longer going to be the vocalist?

I think their first album was pretty damn good, with a terrific female keyboard player (who looked a total Goth too! ), and I would have loved to hear another album from them!

Too much potential and talent in that band to just call it a day yet!

Disregard! I just went to their official wepbage and found this after pretty much the exact same information:

"Il Tempio delle Clessidre is looking for a new singer to be included permanently in the line-up.
Anyone interested in auditioning can contact the group writing to [email protected]"

Anyone here think they've got what it takes to be the singer for this terrific Italian prog band?!

Glad they aint splitting i really liked that album.
They flutter behind you your possible pasts,
Some bright-eyed and crazy, some frightened and lost.

Sure, as long as they change the producer.... Just kidding, I only sing at work and in the shower.
I would however love to hear this band with more dynamics in their sound. I was one of the rare few that didn't like the album one bit. I felt the passion and heard the chops involved, but it felt like homework having to hear it all the way through. I know, please don't shoot me

You know, David, I'm listening to it at work right now and it occurred to me that I rarely get more than half way through it, even though I think it's pretty much all good material! I seem to frequently turn it off after that cool instrumental track round about the middle?

You're not alone, I've noticed some people really didn't think much of it.

I also remember reading an idiotic review in that `Classic Rock presents Prog' magazine that said something like `Because the album is not sung in English, it guarantees you won't listen to it more than once' !!!!

Wow, way to dismiss virtually all the Italian prog bands! What a wonderfully ignorant review!

^ Listened to it once and left it aside. I didn't understand what's with all the favorable reviews. But of course I'll have to give it another try sometime.

Hey Dread, the more I thought about it, I realised he essentially wipes out ALL prog that is not sung in English! While we're at it, might as well just get rid of ALL languages from prog altogether, just make it instrumental lol!

Oh yeah, and any Simpsons reference goes down well in my books!

hahaha, yeah - & why not make everything mellotron-only while we're at it!

- typical of such writers, huh? a shame though, such folks are missing out of so, so much amazing music by restricting themselves to English only

Yeah, I couldn't resist Big smile  Lemme try find a pic...found one

I think I'm with you! The other strong consideration for me would be Lagartija's newest one.

I've also heard that Museo Rosenbach is planning a reunion, so maybe that could have been part of why Lupo left.

Don't know what to think of all these bands Todd. To me they really sound like a mix between  the bands of the 4 AD label in the middle of the eighties (DCD, Cocteau twins ...etc) and the ones of the nineties (Pixies ...) for the hard guitars. Nothing new to my ears. I know that music is a recyclable product, but still... Cry

^ Well Pierre, as you continue to point out, there's so much great undiscovered music from the 1970s, that if the newer stuff isn't your cup of tea, well you really won't ever lack for new, wonderful music to find.

(By the way, I really like the Cocteau Twins!)

I love Liz Fraser too, much more than Lisa Gerrard. And believe me, I'm less and less hostile to newer stuff. It depends on which. Smile

That's the reason why Lupo is leaving, it was mentioned somwhere by a band member (forgot where exactly)

So we will Museo again, and still will have Tempio, who I'm certain will find a good new singer.
They will have their first casting in the next days.

Sorry forgot to quote in the first post.

From Tempios Facebbok page:

Il Tempio delle Clessidre - OFFICIAL the band will start searching for a new singer and Lupo by now is busy with Museo reunion

Museo reunion! Bring that on!

I actually wondered how long Lupo would stay with `Il Tempio...', I think it's always odd when some band members are widely different ages! Then again, I guess Yes is using the Glass Hammer guy, he must be much younger than them!

Is that Museo reunion simply to perform their 70's album live, or for the purpose of recording a new album?
