My cat caught a mouse last night. Watched him chase it for a half hour or so.

^ Well, thank goodness that Clown is lately having such a hard time catching a rabbit. Those cats, man. On a few occasions I even had to rescue a rabbit and a squirrel. I can't put up with her animal slaughter anymore. I understand that it's her trophy-for-an-hour and juicy meat, but those images and pictures I've taken ... u-UGH!
Edit: BTW, more pics of Clown coming soon. Edited by Dayvenkirq - August 07 2012 at 00:34 |

Mine likes to chase skunks which we get many of around here, and he's been sprayed numerous times including just last week. Luckily the odor fades after a day or two but man you'd think he'd catch on.

Ever smelled a skunk attack up close? Imagine a large tire ablaze in your backyard for three days. It's far stronger than the whiff of skunk you occasionally get at night.

My cat dosen't get much to chace. He's an indoor cat so all he gets is a bug or mouse every once in a while

These may be some of the last pics I will post of our pets, after nearly 10 years together my girlfriend and I are splitting and she will be keeping the dog and the 4 cats, my work travels don't allow me to have pets if I live alone, plus I have to leave her nice house and move to an appartment. I'm gonna miss them
Anyway here are some more
A cat's life is hard...
Hey will you leave me some room?
This was not delivered by the postman
Lola never too far from Gaston
If one fits, two can fit as well
rrrrrrr, rub my belly once again... rrrrrrrrr

The perfect contented cat pose with the added advantage that all you need to do is move the tail and voila! Instant pencil sharpener |

We seem to be a community of cat people mainly.
So who has or has had the oldest cat? Squeaky is 18 now. From what I've read she's pushing the maximum typical cat lifespan. No health problems unless staring more often at things that aren't there and sleeping a lot is one. She has also been getting bothered by the construction noise outside, which I share. My wife, not so much so but she's from the NYC area. Old Tori dog passed in 2009 before the flood. We were keeping tropical fish for a while but haven't started that up again. I used to have hamsters for a while when I was a kid. We have some critters hanging around in the yard. Squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits. Occasionally get a visit from a possum. Variety of birds of course. Sometimes ducks, frogs. I was really surprised to see a turtle turn up on the bridge one day. Edited by Slartibartfast - August 07 2012 at 06:27 |

18 is indeed quite long for a cat, the oldest of ours is 9 now.

^ Dude, that's sad. That's pretty much like losing a member of a family. Hope you get to visit them every once in a while. BTW, what's with Lola's right eye? She's like Dr. Evil from those Austin Powers movies.

Yeah I hope to get to visit them and take Gaston for a walk now and then.
Lola had her right eye removed, she was born with a problem in it, it started swelling bigger and bigger and she was in pain. She's much better now even with just one eye.

I haven't figured out the correlation. Feel free to offer up one. I will bat at it with one of my paws. |

Cats are inherently superior beings; smug, aloof & secure in the knowledge their world view trumps all others.
As we are with our view on music (except Dream Theater) |
