Oh. Yeah I missed all of it so I have no idea.
Second place from Sato is awesome!
I like too see the F1ers doing well, which isn't really the caseLOL

Sato was known for his aggressive overtaking!

Missed the races but seems Alonso beasted. I'll have to see the incident with Vettel but seems fairly cut and dry based on the comments here. Hard to say anyone but thhe big A is the favorite right now.

He reminds me a lot of Tora Takagi.

^He's faster and better on the technical side of things than Takagi was though, plus I remember that back in his F1 days Takagi never put much effort into learning English, which didnt help him.

I haven't seen any of their racing in F1, so I'm just going off their Indycar track record, and neither one was/is too great I feel. But I think Sato being in Bobby Rahal's team is helping him.

Sato's a pretty strong driver, still the only Japanese to gain a podium in F1 on outright pace rather than through a race of attrition, but there are definitely better driver out there and he seems more crash prone now than when he was in F1.

Takagi raced in 98/99 and was tipped to be a top driver after he demolished his team mate Ricardo Rosset at Tyrrel in his first year (not really saying much, Rosset never belonged anywhere near F1). However, De La Rosa easily beat him at Arrows and it was found that he lacked in technical ability and never made too much effort to learn the English language, which in an English team was always going to hold him back.

I remember for a decent stretch of time Sato was outperforming Button as his teammate..though I recall Sato was deffmore crash/engine failure prone. The latter could've been indicative of not being good at taking care of equipment.

Needless to say Button is a better driver but still shows something. Sato had some speed.

There were definitely several races in 2004 (Nurburgring and Indy in particular) where Sato had the upper hand but he really struggled with the difficult 2005 car which is why he was offloaded and Super Aguri was set up for the following year.

Its a good drivers track, even if it doesnt always produce the best racing.

Fun fact, there have only ever been 2 wet Hungarian GP in its 26 year history, and Buttons won them both. At the moment it looks like there's a 50/50 chance for rain on Sunday.

Great 2nd grid position for Grosjean, Hamilton seems to have the edge though.
Alonso won't have it easy this time, he's struggling and it's a rather difficult circuit for overtaking.

Wow, neither Mercedes in the top 10, they look to be in trouble this time. Excellent lap from Hamilton, I think he'll win tomorrow unless it rains.

MotoGP Laguna Seca Qualifying results.

As ususal Lorenzo and the 2 Repsol Hondas are one step ahead of the rest and will battle for the win, and there should be an interesting fight in the second group.

I think Pedrosa can make it difficult for Lorenzo and Stoner here, he's only 3rd on the grid but it's the kind of track that suits his riding style. In previous years he often had to race injured at Laguna but this year he is in good shape.

I'll probably be watching the olympics, so I won't get to watch Laguna. Tongue  But hopefully they will replay it in the middle of the night. Motorcycle racing is usually on then anyway.

I heard it was foggy for the early practice sessions at Laguna. That's one track that I just can't imagine being foggy!

Congrats to Lewis.
Both Lotus cars on podium, superb.

No real shockers in the points results.
Alonso leads by 40 still and 8 points between 2nd and 5th. Awesome.

Though finally some stability seems to be forming. Top 4 are all in contention and Kimi can't be ruled out though it seems unlikely. Given his position and strong results Alonso is the clear frontrunner. Big smile
