Nature's Imagination (Is Greater Than Man's) ~ Spring - is the first EP in a series of four that make up a large 22-track conecpt album about a man named Man and his life. Why is is his life important? Well, through a series of events he becomes acquaintances with Baron Wasteland, the man that is a main catalyst for the 2nd end of the world.
YABAT (You Are But a Thought) is a thematic concept album about discovering your significance in the world by understanding the depths of your insignificance. While it starts out with what sounds like pop/punk, this album eventually delves into weird avant-prog including a 5-piece electronica suite that represents the dreams that lead to this self-realization.
FIrst Nature's EP YABAT cover- was originally recorded as Patient's Worth before we finally found a drummer.
If you are further interested in more music you can Youtube our first album when we had our old name. It is titled "Scrapes of an Enigmatic Nature"
EDIT: I might also mention that we write weird sci-fi songs about androids, the phantom mantoplexium, visual capture robots from distant planets, aliens, karmatic equations, golfing, surgery, etc.
There is also a Chiptune 8-bit Sci-Fi Rock Opera in the works, and we also have started pre-production for another album set in an alternate universe and covering the Xenocide of 3 different species. If you want to know more, just ask me! Edited by Smurph - February 27 2012 at 15:33 |

Good stuff! Like the harmonies. And Wonder Stood is probably the best pop/punk song I've heard!

Thanks for the kind words! I really appreciate it!
It's hard to find support in Columbus, Ohio for this kind of music, so we are moving to New York City at the end of summer where my singer already is.

Very interesting stuff Greg. Really hard to put the finger on what your music could be described as - which is always a good thing. I definitely hear the prog influences. My feeling though is that if you go and explore video game music, you'll lose any connection to prog. How about going rather in a math-rock (Battles-like) direction?

We are only doing one album with video game music because we are so heavily influenced by it. We aren't going in that direction permanently. It is also an album that is unlikely to be finished before our big well-produced full length that sounds way more like Volta-style heavy prog. Also, the video game music we are writing isnt neccessarily straight 8-bit. We have 8-bit parts but there are also a lot of guitars and vocals.
The idea is less about making straight 8-bit tunes, and more tunes to support the fact that we have been sucked into a video game that only exists as a collection of the fears expressed on the net. (Love me some concept album goodness) The whole point of this band for us is to actually literally write anything that we want. Literally anything. The sheet music I have been writing sounds like its own weird thing. Maybe a mix of the heavier side of RPI music, Mars Volta, Cardiacs, Sound of Animals Fighting, etc.
But, in reference to your comment, I do love me some math-rock. Battles, Tera Melos, and Cinemechanica will never stop being vital bands for me, and I plan on having a bit of everything that I love in music I make.
We all love prog to the nth degree. :-) I look forward to showing you guys more music as it comes. I'm going to be making prog-influenced stuff until I die, so eventually I'm sure I'll get something on here. Edited by Smurph - March 02 2012 at 13:31 |

New song just finished called "The Crown of the Crow King" It's about a gladiator tournament put on every year to determine the next person to fight the Crow King, but the Crow King wants to die. He miserably rules over a kingdom of squaking crows. He can't understand them because the Crow King is always formerly human and attached to the crown until he is killed.
The Tournament is held to prevent the king from committing suicide, despite the fact that the Crow King is replaced every year as he allows himself to die.
Put a practice video up of it without vocals on www.facebook.com/pseudosentai

Really good music man! When you'll make a full album out of it, I'll probably buy it if there's any solid copy I could get from it!

This sounds like a country from Kino's Journey or a domain in Ravenloft. I like it. I'll be checking your music out. |

not sure if anyone has read enders game but here's the story for that song about tthe Outside planet.
SOLO MISSION: BLUE 44-A3.5 In the outside universe, the philotes are willing and desiring to form into an organized pattern. Both subconscious and conscious thought create patterns that the philotes bend to. The subconscious created a planet, and the conscious is too curious to miss out on the first real, imagined planet. The conscious feels that it must journey to the center to fully discover how the philotes have bent. Lots of super nerdy epicness based off ideas from Ender's Game.

Hey I know I said early July... but seriously July 24th.
Let's think of the tracks here... somethin with violins and heavy guitars, evil video game music, 80's music mutating into prog, a little Beatles inspired diddy, and another song but why would I tell you what they all sound like. I mean geez.

We can moisten a bunghole for your boner. That would be the easiest alternative.
