Yeah I caught a replay of that. While I was neutral/hami leaning last time...there is no doubt that was Maldonado's doing...and EVERY time I want to give him some praise too, he mucks it up!
Hopefully this habit doesn't continue. I mean he's still young but you certainly don't want a rep of "not leaving enough room"

Yes, at first it looked like McLaren were the team to beat...now Ferrari is getting into top form, Lotus is really going strong and Mercedes is  no joke.

It seems Maldonado was fined and reprimanded, as was Kobyashi for colliding with his pit crew.

Excellent victory. And lol at Perez's comments...certainly gave me the chuckles.

Any penalties for next week or was it just a talking to (for moldy)?

Shame about Koby...but rules are rules I suppose.

AH YESH!
edit: aaand looks like Power and Franchitti both had issues. Shiiit Hunter-Reay should be taking the championship lead.

edit edit:
What a crazy race! At least crazy last 30 laps.
Third straight win for Hunter-Reay! Always liked him but he was just kinda there...awesome to see him doing well and it would be great if an American could win the Indy title.
Kanaan fell back but snuck through the chaos to grab 4th, Takuma Sato cracks the top 10!
Pretty good results, though shame Rubens got involved with that madness.

It would indeed. I also got a big laugh from Bourdais's comments on Kimball at the end.

No, just the fines (one got fined 25 000 euro, the other 10 000 euro, but there seems to be some confusion on who got which)

It's been a while since I've heard a Bourdais rant, they're usually entertaining.

Sounds like it was a good race, and I was surprised to see de Silvestro off the back row, it looks like that Lotus engine is finally getting a bit better.

Thats a bit odd...being this one was clearly his fault. Of course when you finish that low I suppose a penalty for this week is not needed. Tongue

It was a day of constantly changing weather conditions (in the afternoon it remained consistently wet) so there's not much to learn about the time sheets. Those who pushed in the short dry window got the fastest times but that means little.

It seems that qualifying should also be in the wet but the race on sunday will probably be dry, which could make for an interesting weekend since the fastests in the race will not necessarily be the ones at the front of the grid.

I wonder if it will be like the DTM races at the Norisring a couple weeks ago, the Saturday was so hot that the track brock up during qualifying, but the races were held in thunderstorms.

Also, question.

I had F1 debrief on in the background but wasn't really watching it, but I thought I heard something to the effect that Webber signed a conntract extention...is that true (or somewhat accurate) or was I just hearing what I wanted to hear??
