This question is to any people who are fans of Kate Bush's work. Which of her albums would you say is her least pop-sounding album? Because I have seen a lot of reviews, which said that "hounds of love" wasn't progressive rock, it was a pop album, and that's not what I'm looking for. I really am looking to find a rock album or alternative rock album of hers? Because I'm a big fan. This may be a silly question, but If anyone can give me any help it would be helpful

Thank you.

The Dreaming sure is interesting, but I'd go for Hounds regardless of that. Pop here and pop there, it is "alternative" regardless of how you look at it and contains some extremely rich, rewarding and atmospheric music. Can't fail, and The Dreaming can feel a bit clinical in comparison. I like that one as well, but not as much as Hounds.

So that's my recommendation, even though you might have heard otherwise!

The Dreaming to me is very influenced by Peter Gabriel who we know she admired (and they later did a duet of course). Its eclectic prog and would sit very nicely alongside PG3.
I wouldn't dismiss Hounds Of Love though as it has some very powerfull tracks like The Big Sky (play loud!) and a wonderfull suite of songs wrapped up as The Ninth Wave. Very pleasurable eclectic prog. Those are the albums to concentrate on although the earlier ones features some great musical arrangements and production work (and of course great songs)
Of the recent ones Aerial is her best(imo) and probably my third favourite KB album after The Dreaming and HOL. Again it falls very much under eclectic prog which she does so well.

edit- if you get Hounds Of Love get the one with the bonus tracks!
