Aaaaahh....summer break! 5 weeks of relaxation and no major plans, except a trip to Arendal to see Ian Anderson live in concert at the end of next month, and a trip to the family cabin for a week (at some point during those five weeks, don't know when).

Also, Sigur Ros-girl visited my workplace todayBig smile

OK, I should explain. Sigur Ros-girl, an ex colleague, is the girl who turned me on to Sigur Ros. She also turned me on in a different way, if you know what I mean.

She's been travelling around the world for the last four months, and now she's back, even more beautiful than I remembered her to be. I'm strongly considering giving her a call to ask her if she wants to get toghether...and do something...coffee, movie, whatever. There's that fear of rejection holding me back though...

And there's another problem. She's like eight years younger than meOuch But I can't get her out of my mind. I don't mind the age differance, but maybe she will? I really have problems, don't I? I mean, letting myself fall for a 20 year old when I'm almost 30 myself...it's just plain stupid, right?

Sigur Ros girl!

Yeah, go ahead and get together with her.  The trick is to not come on too strong (thus making you appear insecure), yet make it clear that you like her more than "just as a friend".  It's tough to do.  God knows I tried for years.  Finally worked, somehow (I'm married).

You don't know if you don't try, I guess. If she does mind then you can't end up much worse than you already are.

I tan easily, when I was younger and played outside more my family would tell me I looked mexican. It was probably part of the reason why I stopped going outside so much.

Off I go to the Great White North of Philadelphia.  I need to go check on that bell to make sure no idiot's cracked it yet.

Stopping in Charlotte (*booooo*) tonight, I'll be sure to wave at Alan out the window.

Hope my car doesn't crash.
Damn I just jinxed myself.

I gotta say though- most girls under 25 would not mind a guy around 30 years old. You are more mature than her peers and more put together I'm sure. :-D You would probably have a better chance than most.
