Speaking of shame, terrible what happened to that "Delta Wing"
Not sure if I liked it...kinda whacked, but kind of cool. Certainly unique.

Nasty crash of Davidson, I hope he will be fine. What happened with the Delta Wing?  I missed most of the race so far.

Collision with Nakajima's #7 Toyota on the restart after Ant's back breaking crash.

4 hours to go and the lead Audi pairs are 3s apart. Game on.

Just saw the Delta Wing incident on YouTube, what a nasty move by Nakajima, shame on him.

3,5 hours to go, man these Audi's are fast...

Some thrill with Audis # 2 and 3 crashing and safety car deployed, both made it to the pits though.

I wont completely exonerate Kazuki, but the DeltaWing was in his blind spot and he was fighting Treluyer for the overall lead.

Have you seen the video where Motoyama spends 1.5 hours trying to fix the car enough to get back to the pits? Pretty impressive.

No surprises that Audi win witha 1, 2 ,3 ,5 finish, the Rebellion Racing Lola-Toyota of Nicolas Prost, Neel Jani and Nick Hedfeldt spoiling the party in an excellent 4th.

And congrats to Ryan Hunter-Raye who won the IndyCar race last night.

I heard that Kazuki went to apologize to the DeltaWing team so at least that's nice of him.

Congrats to Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer, and Benoit Treluyer on their 2nd LeMans victory.

Was rooting for the Kristensen, McNish, Capello team but ah well.

In other news Ryan Hunter-Reay had a pretty dominant win at Milwaukee in Indy Car.
I always liked him from way back in the day, solely because the first CART/Champ Car race I saw he won, and I liked his nameLOL   Doing decently, currently 4th, in the standings.

I always root for the McNish car as well. They were on course to win until McNish got caught out behind a Ferrari in the Porsche curves and crashed.

I wouldn't call it dominant for Ryan, he didnt hitthe front until lap 143. I remember watching that Mid Ohio race he won for, I think, Jimmy Vasser's team as well, back in the days Champ Car was live on Eurospor here (even if they couldnt stick to a timing schedule to save their lives).

Congrats to the Le Mans winners. Sounds like the end was worth watching (even though I didn;t).

Well I didn't actually see it, just he led the most laps soooLOL
Yeah he won Surfers Paradise back in 03, first CART race I saw ever and that was that.

Indeed, I thought for sure Kristensen and co. were going to take it but what can you do?
It was worth staying up but even after a nap, god damn I need to pass out!

NASCAR not usually the talk here but have to mention:
Dale Jr gets his first win in 4 years.

Man, to think it was almost a decade ago he had a (semi sort of) championship battle with Matt Kenseth.
After all the changes and continual lack of success I think it has to be concluded Dale just isn't that great a driver, (so I thought) but he's been good as of late and despite the lack of wins is second in the points.
He may take the lead after this I'm not sure.
Maybe 2012 is finally the year.

Dale must be big news if he gets NASCAR cracks into the Motorsports thread. Wink

He probably shouldve won last year (a race) but luck hasnt been on his side. With this I wouldn't be surprised if he won again this year.

And he's still second in points (like 4 back) just because the other two in the top three finished in the top 5.

Was it Surfers he won? For some reason I've got images of his excellent run at Mid-Ohio from that year stuck in my head.

Indeed, again that was the first I saw so I thought maybe he won earlier but it appears not:
