That's just the Windows experience index. It comes with Window's OS. It's not really that helpful, but it's easy.

Well I use XP, so I cannot use it.

Not to worry, I was just curious as to how slow my Laptop was performing.

Most likely not very good, lol. It bases it on the top performance of what's out there at the time. A laptop running XP would....not do well.

I was about to suggest running passmark, but that's for video cards and onboard graphics will give you like a score of 12 or something

For perspective, my midrange ATI card gets about 1700

I would like to check, as I believe my Graphics Card is on its way out.

So I'll try Passmark.

That Sega logo was so small I thought you'd actually bought a Genesis Collection!

When you said Genesis I didn't think of the group, I thought of the biblical book. I connected the biblical book with action games. Bible Gauntlet - Noah shot the potion! Abraham shot the food! Adam and Eve consumed the fruit of the tree of knowlege and leveled up! +20 to intellect, - 5,000,000 to morality!

Of course, I've always wanted to see Peter Gabriel sock Banks in the head with a brick, too.

Humble Indie Bundle V is up - great lineup, features Amnesia and Psychonauts and Sword and Sworcery and two games I haven't heard of. My wife and I just played Amnesia for the first time, it was scary.

Pay what you want, split it as you like between charity/developers/the website, get 5 sweet DRM free / cross platform games. I love the bundle and get most of my PC games from it.

Amnesia is worth $20 alone. Frictional makes some damn fine games, and Amnesia is great. Even Yahzee liked it. Limbo was also pretty decent. Psychonauts is an older game -- about 7 years, I think -- and not really indie, but it's a classic platformer nonetheless. Never tried Sword and Sorcery or Bastion, though I've heard good things about the latter.

Bastion is awesome.  I got it on the cheap (soundtrack edition, no less) during one of Steam's sales, and it's quite fun.  Not overly long, but very well made IMO.

I've never played Psychonauts but I've wanted to for a long time. When I was in college, the guy who did the game design for our GPW (Games Prototype Workshop) class was strongly influenced by it.

Oh, s$%t, man, I play some "old" games. Not a fan of the ones that are coming out now. It seems like we've reached the limits.

At this time I play "Age of Mythology", "Disciples: Gold Edition", "Heroes of Might and Magic IV", "Rise of Nations", and "WoW".

I would have played more games if the freaking Windows 7 did support MS-DOS games and stuff like "Quake" and "Diablo II".

I just watched the video for the Humble Indie Bundle. FYI, the guy talking toward the end is Tim Schafer, a legend from LucasArts and founder of Double Fine, which made Psychonauts (and Brütal Legend).

Also, saw a funny picture regarding TERA's awful, awful female armors:

//EDIT: Apparently, the image was removed for some reason. Imageshack doesn't offer any kind of guidance as to why.

//EDIT 2: Image sourced in later post.
