I've always been a Schumacher fan, even when he was in the dastardly Ferrari.  Now he's old and less competitive, I want him to win even more.

And yeah, I don't have access to Satellite channels, so I cannot watch the race.  It's not an anti-Sky thing although I happen to dislike Sky too.

It also affects me watching the football as well.  Boo.

What's up James? Is it that whole Sky thing? I don't know all the details, have you been cut off from F1?Cry

Aw yeah! So glad my favorite driver is back, and looking so sharp.
Especially with Alonso most likely running in 5th to 8th all season (though that will make most of you happyAngry)

Also James wants Schumi to be in a competitive car???
I also hope soShocked, and that he can win a race...these times really have gone berserk!

Grrr.

No doubt, Kimi has come back after his 2 year hiatus pretty much like he never left.

After one race and 2 quali sessions sure seems like McLaren is the team to beat. If RBR can't close the gap at least we should still have a good fight between Button and Hami. Rest of the field is just up in the air!

Might have to take a nap some point today, I just hate watching the race on tape and I'll be up to 6 am on this oneCry

I know, but I cant see Perez and Alonso holding him up for too long, his car is just that much faster and given the way Mercedes use their tyres I expect he'll be able to get ahead of them sonn enough. That leaves a rather nice fight between the McLarens, Red Bulls and Lotus's for the podium slots.

I can dream at least.

Would you look at that, the top 8 seperated by 0.45s, how many times last year did we see Vettel on poll by more than that?

I'm going to tip Raikkonen for a podium, he looks quick and that Lotus seems good on its tyres.

Wow.  Schumacher was 2nd right 'til the last minute when Button took it.  It should be a wonderful race.  Let's see if he can finish in the top 5 (top 3 would be great!).  I also think Rosberg may do well.

Caterham are coming on better this year.  That's great to see.  They're really not that far behind the Torro Rosso's.

Alas, I don't have Sky, so it may have to be Radio 5 Live for me and then highlights later.  However, it's Football day tomorrow... Wembley here we come (well, not me, I cannot afford it)!

Also when you have such a discrepancy with teammates (Alonso and Massa) makes me wonder where the car is exactly? How much over/under performing is going on?
I'm guessing it's either at Massa's level, or at least very close. Man, Alonso is a beast (like him or not) shame he's being held back by his car.

And oi...Ferrari really is looking like suck this year. How the mighty have fallen :(

Aw yeah, races so soon!
I like this, I hope (assuming the schedule does bulge to 24 sometime in the future) they keep it in clusters, so they can race every week with only gaps for travel across the huge distances.

Malaysia is a decent track, and rain always provides fun!
Also with the crazy first race out of the way we can start to see where teams line up.

Will RBR stay just off pace?
Will any of the others take third place or stay a clusterf**k of level caliber (naturally I hope for the latter).
I also hope RBR will end up being a steady threat to McLaren. A competitive year from top to bottom would just be awesome.

That is true but we'll see.  Ross Brawn said as much himself.  It's their controversial DRS system that allows them quick qualifying laps.  It doesn't have that advantage in the race.

But they're apparently still tweaking for qualifying and the race.

Oh and Red Bull aren't that happy this weekend.

^I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet, the Mercedes does look very quick over 1 lap but it's very hard on it's tyres.

Kimi's had to change his gearbox today so thats a 5 place grid penalty for him. and Kovalainan has one as well for passing two cars under before the safety car line on the restart in Melbourne.

Practice times for Malaysia. I like this race, the best of all the Tilke tracks and with Turkey now gone thats by some way. I'm not certain but I've heard that the start time has been moved back by an hour this year. The last time it started this late was 2009 and that race got red flagged on lap 35, which will almost certainly happen again since thje rain turns up like clockwork everyday in the early evening there.

I don't hate Vettel as a person.  I just don't think he's as amazing as people say and he is somewhat arrogant.

I kind of agree about Lewis too.  He seems to have a real chip on his shoulder.  He needs to relax and just race and not get so annoyed.

This is why I like Jens.  He's mostly always laid back but does naturally have moments when he needs to be outspoken too.  Plus he's British.

I feel sorry for Brunno with Massa's kack handed defence, he would have been in the thick of the fight for the last points on the last lap without that.

Did anybody see the Sebring 12 Hours, those GT cars really got their elbows out for the last lap.
